The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Torino as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Torino defeated 4th ranked Firenze at home 79-72. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 36-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Torino made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Naturalized Polish power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (210-90) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Claudio Tommasini (190-91) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Swingman Daniele Casadei (199-81) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Torino (11-2) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Firenze at the other side dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Firenze will play next round against Chieti trying to get back on the winning streak. Torino will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Leading Matera (10-3) recorded its third loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by sixteenth ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (5-8) 77-68. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Matera. Power forward Michele Benfatto (205-85) notched 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Gabriele Spizzichini supported him with 14 points. Even a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds by power forward Antonio Iannuzzi (207-91, agency: Two Points) did not help to save the game for Matera. Naturhouse Ferrara moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Casalpusterlengo. Matera at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. Naturhouse Ferrara will play against higher ranked Agrigento (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Matera will play against Casalpusterlengo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Castelletto (9-4) against fifth ranked Agrigento (9-5) on Sunday night. Visiting Castelletto was crushed by Agrigento in Agrigento 80-60. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Castelletto. The best player for the winners was Fabio Mian who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Agrigento's coach Franco Ciani used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Francesco Ihedioha produced 18 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Agrigento moved-up to fourth place. Loser Castelletto keeps the third position with four games lost. Agrigento will meet Naturhouse Ferrara (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Castelletto will play against Reggio Calabr. (#15) in Reggio Calabria and hope to secure a win.
A very interesting game took place in Bari. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Casalpusterlengo (5-8) to ninth ranked Bari (7-6) 59-57 on Sunday evening. Daniele Bonessio orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Casalpusterlengo's coach Andrea Zanchi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bari moved-up to eighth place. Casalpusterlengo at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Bari's next round opponent will be Recanati (#17) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Casalpusterlengo will play against the league's second-placed Matera (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
An interesting game took place in Mirandola where higher ranked Mazzeo San Severo (5-9) was upset on the court of eighteenth ranked Mirandola (4-10) 100-88 on Sunday. Andrea Pilotti scored 27 points to lead the charge for the winners. Newly promoted Mirandola maintains eighteenth position with 4-10 record. Loser Mazzeo San Severo dropped to the thirteenth place with nine games lost. Mirandola will face higher ranked Latina Basket (#16) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 14: Latina Basket lost to Chieti on the opponent's court 71-88. Reggio Calabr. managed to outperform Recanati in a home game 81-69. Omegna recorded a loss to Lucca on the road 80-75.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 33 points (!!!), 21 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by Emanuele Rossi of Chieti.
