The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory.

The most exciting game of round 12 in the A2 took place in Napoli. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers S. La Spezia (8-3) to fourth ranked Napoli S.Dike (9-2) 44-42 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of S. La Spezia. It was a key game for the second position in South. The hosts trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 2 points. Napoli S.Dike dominated on the defensive end, holding S. La Spezia to just 4 points in third quarter. Napoli S.Dike forced 19 S. La Spezia turnovers. Strangely S. La Spezia outrebounded Napoli S.Dike 41-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Australian-British forward Louella Tomlinson (193-88, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Guard Rosa Cupido (167-92) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International forward Silvia Favento (185-85) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds for S. La Spezia. S. La Spezia's coach Dragomir Bukvic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Napoli S.Dike have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in South, which they share with T. La Spezia. S. La Spezia at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Napoli S.Dike is looking forward to face Meccanica NB (#7) in Bologna in the next round where they are favorite. S. La Spezia will play at home against the league's leader Ragusa and is hoping to win this game.
College Italia's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after ten consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Siena, where they defeated Consum.it Siena (0-11) 54-48. Worth to mention a great performance of center Francesca Minali (185-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and Erica Reggiani who added 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was Francesca Fabbri (174-88) with 14 points. Newly promoted College Italia maintains twelfth position in South with 1-10 record. It was Consum.it Siena's eleventh loss in a row. They still closes the standings with 11 games lost. College Italia will play against league's second-placed T.
