Goldbet Taranto (A1) added to their roster 24-year old international swingman Martina Crippa (175-88). She just played at Club Atletico Romagna Faenza (A1). The last season Crippa played for Bracco Geas (B). In 24 games last year she recorded 10.8ppg, 3.3rpg, 1.2apg and 2.7spg. She helped them to make it to the cup semifinals. A very spectacular season in her career as she was voted to Italian League All-Star Game. Crippas team made it to the A1 Semifinals in 2011. She has been also a member of Italian international program for some years. Crippa has has regularly played for Senior National Team since 2010 and previouslyfor U20 National Team between 2008 and 2009. She also represented Italy at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 this year. Her stats at that event were 7 games: 3.9ppg, 1.9rpg, 1.0apg, 1.7spg.

Italy pip Bulgaria in Frosinone to start their winning series in preparation for Eurobasket 2013. The Italian side posted a 48:47 win in a defensive battle between two sides. After the three losses from France, Italy hoped to add the victory to their preparation campaign. They lost the first period 16-7, but won the second 12-4 and took 28:21 halftime advantage. Bulgaria however tied the game at the end of the third period when Ekaterina Dimitrova (182-G-87) made two free throws at 39:39. Dimana Georgieva (190-C-88) gave Bulgari 47:43 lead with 4 minutes to go, but Bulgaria remained scoreless in the rest of the game. Sabrina Cinili (190-F-89) brought the victory for Bulgaria in the last seconds after an assists from Giorgia Sottana (178-G-88, agency: Players Group). Sabrina Cinili and Giorgia Sottana top-scored for the winners with 11 points each. Chiara Consolini (186-F-88) netted 9, while Benedetta Bagnara (178-G-87, agency: LBM Management) added 7. Daniela Peteva (179-F-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) ended up with 12 points in the losing effort, while Ekaterina Dimitrova scored 11. Evelina Guneva (183-F-80, agency: Interperformances) produced 7 and Milena Tomova (189-F/C-82, college: FIU) notched 6.
Umana Reyer bolstered their frontcourt. They added Marie Ruzickova (189-C-86, agency: LBM Management) to the roster. The Slovakian centre spent the last two seasons with Lucca. Last season Marie Ruzickova posted 12.7 points, 7.2 boards and 2.4 steals per game. She earned All-Italian A1 Honourable Mention. Marie Ruzickova was named into A1 All-Bosmans Team in 2012.
