The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, extra overtimes, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Lega 2 round 13 caused change at the leadership position. Fourth defeat of league's leader Givova Scafati (9-4) against fifteenth ranked FCM Ferentino (3-9) 89-75 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Givova Scafati. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. FCM Ferentino dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Givova Scafati's 38. FCM Ferentino forced 20 Givova Scafati turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Guyanese forward Delroy James (203-87, college: Rhode Island) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Francesco Guarino (182-79) contributed with 17 points for the winners. FCM Ferentino's coach Franco Gramenzi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Ronald Slay (203-81, college: Tennessee, agency: David Lee services) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for Givova Scafati. FCM Ferentino moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Upea CdO. Givova Scafati at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Novipiu Casale. They were replaced at the leadership position by Sigma Barcel.. Givova Scafati will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. FCM Ferentino will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Fileni BPA Jesi on the road.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sigma Barcellona as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Sigma Barcellona defeated 13th ranked Upea CdO at home 90-77. American-Georgian swingman Melvin Sanders (196-81, college: Oklahoma St.) stepped up and scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and Taurean Green chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. At the losing side Dominican center Otis George (205-82, college: Louisville) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Sigma Barcellona have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Newly promoted Upea CdO keeps the thirteenth place with nine games lost. They share the position with FCM Ferentino. Upea CdO will play next round against strong Tuscany Pistoia trying to get back on the winning streak. Sigma Barcellona will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked C.de Latte BRE at Brescia.
A very close game took place in Pistoia between Tuscany Pistoia and C.de Latte BRE. Third ranked Tuscany Pistoia (9-3) got a very close home victory over 7th ranked C.de Latte BRE (6-6). Tuscany Pistoia managed to escape with a 1-point win 72-71 on Sunday evening. Michael Hicks nailed 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Michael Jenkins came up with 22 points and 5 steals for C.de Latte BRE in the defeat. Tuscany Pistoia moved-up to second place. Loser C.de Latte BRE dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with LeGanberi FO. Tuscany Pistoia will meet Upea CdO (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. C.de Latte BRE will play against the league's leader Sigma Barcellona (#1) and hope to secure a win.
Eleventh ranked Fileni BPA Jesi won an overtime thriller edging 10th ranked Pall.Trento by one point 105-106. The game took place in Trento. But the guests from Jesi were better at the end. Eric Griffin fired 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds for the winners. Fileni BPA Jesi (5-7) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Pall.Trento. Pall.Trento lost fourth consecutive game. Fileni BPA Jesi's next round opponent will be FCM Ferentino (#13) at home.
The game in Verona was also quite interesting. 6th ranked AcegasAps TR (7-5) played at the court of eighth ranked Tezenis VE (7-6). Tezenis VE defeated AcegasAps TR 67-51 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of AcegasAps TR. It was a very good performance for Olaseni Lawal who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Tezenis VE moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted AcegasAps TR dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Tezenis VE will face Prima Veroli (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. In the last two games of round 13 Biancoblu BO was smashed by LeGanberi FO on the road 96-71. Aget Service IM lost to Novipiu Casale on its own court 78-86.
