The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin while 2 of them nedded overtime. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with few extra overtimes, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Round 13 in SerieA ended with 5 & very close games. The first one was a victory of Lottomatica Roma over 6th ranked Enel Brindisi 86-82 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Enel Brindisi. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 4 points. Lottomatica Roma made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Enel Brindisi only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Enel Brindisi 36-22 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Enel Brindisi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Phil Goss (186-83, college: Drexel) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Bobby Jones (201-84, college: Washington) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. International swingman Jeffrey Viggiano (198-84, college: Massachusetts) answered with 27 points and 4 steals for Enel Brindisi. Enel Brindisi's coach Pier Luigi Bucchi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lottomatica Roma maintains fifth place with 8-5 record. Newly promoted Enel Brindisi keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with EA7 Armani. Lottomatica Roma are looking forward to face Angelico Biella (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Enel Brindisi will play against SAIE3 BO (#11) in Bologna and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Montepaschi Siena (10-3) against tenth ranked Umana Venezia (6-7) on Sunday night. Visiting Montepaschi Siena was edged by Umana Venezia in a tough game in Venezia 63-65. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Montepaschi Siena. French forward Yakhouba Diawara (201-82, college: Pepperdine) stepped up and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Alvin Young chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) responded with 17 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Umana Venezia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Adrian Banks nailed 22 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Cimberio Varese's coach Francesco Vitucci used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hrvoje Peric came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds for Vanoli Cremona in the defeat. Cimberio Varese have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-1 record. Vanoli Cremona at the other side keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Sutor MGR. Cimberio Varese will meet bottom-ranked VL Pesaro (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
