The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 15 in the A2 took place in Venezia. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Milano (11-4) to first ranked Umana Reyer (14-1) 62-60 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Milano. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Umana Reyer forced 24 Milano turnovers. It was a good game for Romanian forward Simina Mandache (185-81) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Francesca Melchiori (175-93) contributed with 9 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Manuela Zanon (187-80) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for Milano. Umana Reyer have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Newly promoted Umana Reyer maintains first place in North with 14-1 record. Milano at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Crema. Umana Reyer are looking forward to face Broni (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Milano will play against TEC-MAR Crema (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Eighth-ranked Salerno (6-8) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked T. La Spezia (11-2). The visitors from La Spezia managed to secure only one-point victory 79-78. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Salerno. It was a great evening for the former international forward Alessandra Tava (184-91) who led her team to a victory scoring 14 points and 6 rebounds. Sara Giorgi helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was international point guard Raelin D'Alie (168-87, college: Wisconsin) with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for T. La Spezia. They maintain second place in South with 11-2 record having four points less than leader Ragusa. Newly promoted Salerno keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Irpino. T. La Spezia will play against league's leader Ragusa at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Salerno will play against Napoli S.Dike (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A2 top team - Ragusa (14-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Ancona (8-6) 73-34. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ancona. It was a quality performance for Peli Papamichail who led the winners and scored 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Ragusa's coach Antonio Molino felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Giulia Moroni came up with 9 points and 5 rebounds for Ancona in the defeat. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Ragusa. They maintain first place in South with 14-0 record. Loser Ancona dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Bologna. Ragusa will meet league's second-placed T. La Spezia on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ancona will play against Irpino (#8) in Ariano Irpino and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Consum.it Siena is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 14th consecutive match to tenth ranked Irpino (6-8) 64-54. The best player for the winners was Marija Micovic who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). Consum.it Siena's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Irpino moved-up to eighth place in South, which they share with Salerno. Consum.it Siena lost their fourteenth game in a row. They still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Irpino's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ancona (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Consum.it Siena will play against Min.Battipaglia (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Important game to mention about took place in Valmadrera. Eleventh ranked Valmadrera (5-10) saved a 3-point victory at home edging higher ranked San Salvatore (7-8) 66-63 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of San Salvatore. It was a good game for Karolina Piotrkiewicz who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds. Valmadrera moved-up to tenth place in North, which they share with Muggia. San Salvatore at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Valmadrera will face Muggia (#10) on the road in the next round.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 15:
In North Biassono was smashed by Udine on the road 76-40. Broni won against Muggia on its own court 67-58. Marghera was outscored by Crema in a road game 76-50. Cremona was rolled over San Martino at home 43-76. Alghero defeated Cagliari V. on the opponent's court 65-52.
In South College Italia was beaten by Napoli S.Dike in a home game 51-56. Viterbo was destroyed by S. La Spezia on the road 87-44. Bologna managed to outperform Calabria on its own court 66-48.



Group North
Udine - Biassono 76-40

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Udine (9-6) crushed at home 14th ranked Biassono (1-14) 76-40 on Sunday. The game without a history. Udine led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Biassono to just 6 points in first quarter. It was a great shooting night for Udine especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. It was a good game for naturalized Brazilian swingman Tayara Madonna (173-91) who led her team to a victory with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Center Angela Ratti (185-83) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Udine players scored in double figures. Swingman Sara Canova (174-89) answered with 11 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and guard Martina Gargantini (175-93) added 7 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Biassono. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Udine. They moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Marghera. Biassono lost their twelfth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Udine will face San Salvatore (#9) on the road in the next round. Biassono will play against Virtus Cagliari (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
