SerieA is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 15 rounds left. The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.

Top ranked Cimberio Varese (13-2) recorded its second loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by tenth ranked Umana Venezia (7-8) 87-85. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Cimberio Varese. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Cimberio Varese won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Umana Venezia made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Polish center Szymon Szewczyk (209-82) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). American-Bulgarian point guard Kee Kee Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) chipped in 24 points and 8 assists. Umana Venezia's coach Andrea Mazzon used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Mike Green (185-85, college: Butler) who recorded 26 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Umana Venezia moved-up to ninth place, which they share with JuveCaserta. Cimberio Varese at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Umana Venezia is looking forward to face higher ranked Cantu (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cimberio Varese will play against Enel Brindisi and is hoping to win this game.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sassari. Second ranked Banco di Sard. faced 3rd placed Montepaschi Siena. Host Banco di Sard. (12-3) smashed guests from Siena (11-4) 96-66. It was a good game for American point guard Travis Diener (184-82, college: Marquette) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 assists. Tony Easley contributed with 18 points for the winners. Georgian Viktor Sanikidze (203-86) answered with 12 points for Montepaschi Siena. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Banco di Sard. maintains second place with 12-3 record behind leader Cimberio VA. Defending champion Montepaschi Siena keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Cantu. Banco di Sard. will play against Angelico Biella (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Montepaschi Siena will play against Trenkwalder RE (#6) in Reggio Emilia and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked VL Pesaro managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of eleven consecutive loses on Sunday night. This time they won against fourteenth-ranked Air Avellino 78-71. It was a great evening for Rok Stipcevic who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 assists. VL Pesaro's coach Zare Markovski allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Taquan Dean with 19 points. VL Pesaro (3-12) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Angelico BI. Loser Air Avellino dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Sutor MGR. VL Pesaro will meet higher ranked Lottomatica Roma (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Air Avellino will play against Sutor Montegranaro (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Thirteenth-ranked Sutor Montegranaro (4-11) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Lottomatica Roma (10-5). The visitors from Roma managed to secure only two-point victory 86-84. However their fans expected much easier game. It was an exceptional evening for Luigi Datome who led the winners and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Lottomatica Roma have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 10-5 record. Sutor Montegranaro at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Lottomatica Roma's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked VL Pesaro (#16) at home which should be an easy win for them. Sutor Montegranaro will play against Air Avellino and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Biella. Local Angelico Biella (3-12) was outscored by twelfth ranked Vanoli Cremona (5-10) 92-59 on Sunday night. The best player for the winners was Hrvoje Peric who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Angelico Biella's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vanoli Cremona maintains twelfth place with 5-10 record. Angelico Biella lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. Vanoli Cremona will face higher ranked SAIE3 BO (#11) in Bologna in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Angelico Biella will play at home against the league's second-placed Banco di Sard. (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

Other games of round 15 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
