29-year old power forward Angelo Gigli (209-PF-83) had an amazing evening in the last round for SAIE3 BO and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16. He had a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds, while his team was edged out by Vanoli CR (6-10) 93-92. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on the top of the standings. SAIE3 BO maintains the 11th position in Italian league. SAIE3 BO is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 10th lost game this season out of 16 games. It's Gigli's second year at SAIE3 BO and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Angelo Gigli averages this season 9.4ppg and 6.5rpg.
Second best performed player last round was Yakhouba Diawara (201-F-82) of Umana VE. He is French forward in his first season at Umana VE. In the last game Diawara recorded impressive 29 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Umana VE to edge the higher-ranked Cantu (#4, 11-5) by 4 points 83-79. This victory allowed Umana VE to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 8-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Diawara is a newcomer at Umana VE and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Jarrius Jackson (186-G-85) of Vanoli CR (#12). Jackson scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds. He was a key player of Vanoli CR, leading his team to a 93-92 win against SAIE3 BO (6-10). The chances of Vanoli CR not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Jackson could try to bring Vanoli CR's a little bit higher in the standings. Jackson has a very solid season. In 16 games in Italy he scored 14.4ppg.
