The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets.

An interesting game for T. La Spezia (15-2) which hosted in La Spezia 3rd placed Napoli S.Dike (13-5). Second ranked T. La Spezia managed to get a 10-point victory 52-42. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Napoli S.Dike. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 52-42. T. La Spezia dominated on the defensive end, holding Napoli S.Dike to just 5 points in second quarter. T. La Spezia forced 23 Napoli S.Dike turnovers. Strangely Napoli S.Dike outrebounded T. La Spezia 42-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian power forward Lauma Reke (185-86, college: St.Peter's) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 7 rebounds. International guard Elisa Templari (172-89) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Australian-British forward Louella Tomlinson (193-88, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Regeneracom Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds for Napoli S.Dike. T. La Spezia have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain second place in South with 15-2 record having five points less than leader Umana Reyer. Napoli S.Dike at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
A2 top team - Umana Reyer (18-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Biassono (1-18) 56-35. It was a great evening for Romanian forward Simina Mandache (185-81) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. Elisa Penna helped adding 8 points. At the losing side swingman Sara Canova (174-89) responded with 10 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Umana Reyer. Newly promoted Umana Reyer maintains first place in North with 18-1 record. Biassono lost their sixteenth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Umana Reyer will play against San Salvatore (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Biassono will play against Alghero (#8) to get more than just one victory in their record.
A2 top team - Ragusa (17-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Salerno (7-11) 72-48. It was a quality performance for Peli Papamichail who led the winners and scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Ragusa's coach Antonio Molino felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maria Buzzanca came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds for Salerno in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ragusa. They maintain first place in South with 17-1 record. Newly promoted Salerno keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Irpino. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Bottom-ranked Consum.it Siena is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 18th consecutive match to eleventh ranked Calabria (4-13) 65-50. Selma Delibasic fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 20 rebounds for the winners. Newly promoted Calabria maintains eleventh place in South with 4-13 record. Consum.it Siena lost their eighteenth game in a row. They still closes the standings with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game in Broni was also quite interesting. Third ranked Milano (15-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Broni (9-10). Milano managed to secure a 8-point victory 58-50 on Sunday. Other games in round 19 were not that significant.
In North Valmadrera was beaten by Udine on the road 64-53. Marghera won against Cremona on its own court 60-48. Alghero unfortunately lost to San Martino in San Martino di L 53-59. Muggia recorded a loss to San Salvatore at home 54-65. Crema was defeated by Cagliari V. on the opponent's court 63-58.
In South Ancona beat Bologna in a home game 63-59. College Italia was destroyed by Irpino on the road 67-38. Min.Battipaglia outscored Viterbo on its own court 73-48.
The most impressive performance of 19th round was 20 points and 12 rebounds by Monique Ngo Ndjock of Ancona.



Group North
Broni - Milano 50-58

The game in Broni was also quite interesting. Third ranked Milano (15-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Broni (9-10). Milano managed to secure a 8-point victory 58-50 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Broni. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 15-11. But Broni won second period 8-7. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Milano forced 19 Broni turnovers. It was a very good performance for guard Michela Frantini (175-83) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. The former international guard Susanna Stabile (178-80) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Latvian center Liga Surkusa (194-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and guard Silvia Caru (176-83) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Broni. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Milano. They maintain third place in North with 15-4 record having just three points less than leader Umana Reyer. Newly promoted Broni keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Milano will face Muggia (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Broni will play against Cremona.

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Udine (12-7) beat at home 11th ranked Valmadrera (6-13) 64-53 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Udine. Valmadrera was better in fourth quarter 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Udine had a 34-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for guard Chiara Rossi (170-88) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her eight free throws). Guard Sara De Biase (180-88) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Carolina Scibelli (182-86) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Silvia Scudiero (182-82) added 7 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Valmadrera. Very expected game when 13th ranked Cremona (4-15) lost to sixth ranked Marghera (11-8) in Venezia 48-60 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 60-48. San Martino - Alghero 59-53

Very predictable result when second ranked San Martino (16-3) won against 8th ranked Alghero (9-10) in San Martino di L 59-53 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Alghero was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. San Martino forced 20 Alghero turnovers. Quite impressive performance for the former international power forward Martina Sandri (185-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Maria Pegoraro (174-89) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners.
