The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 4 rounds.

The most exciting game of round 18 in the A1 took place in Lucca. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Parma (10-4) to second ranked Lucca (12-3) 51-48 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Parma. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 51-48. Lucca dominated on the defensive end, holding Parma to just 7 points in second quarter. They also forced 30 Parma turnovers. American forward Adrienne Johnson (182-89, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: LBM Management) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Portuguese forward Mery Andrade (181-75, college: ODU) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Croatian center Sonja Kireta (198-76) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Lucca have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-3 record behind leader Familia Schio. Parma at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Taranto. Lucca are looking forward to face bottom-ranked CA Romagna (#11) in Faenza in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Parma will play on the road against Pall.Pozzuoli (#7) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.

American center Jantel Lavender (190-88, college: Ohio St.) notched 12 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Elodie Godin supported her with 8 points and 8 rebounds. Even 15 points and 9 rebounds by American D'Andra Moss (178-88, college: VCU, agency: Two Points) did not help to save the game for Umbertide. Umbertide's coach Lorenzo Serventi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Familia Schio have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Umbertide lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Familia Schio will play against Orvieto (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
