The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 4 rounds.

The most exciting game of round 18 in the A1 took place in Lucca. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Parma (10-4) to second ranked Lucca (12-3) 51-48 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Parma. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 51-48. Lucca dominated on the defensive end, holding Parma to just 7 points in second quarter. They also forced 30 Parma turnovers. American forward Adrienne Johnson (182-89, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: LBM Management) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Portuguese forward Mery Andrade (181-75, college: ODU) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Croatian center Sonja Kireta (198-76) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Lucca have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-3 record behind leader Familia Schio. Parma at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Taranto.
