The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Fifth-ranked Bari (12-10) was very close to win a game against first ranked Torino (20-3) on Sunday. Torino managed to secure only one-point victory 75-74. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 21-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Marco Evangelisti (198-84) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 steals. The former international power forward Francesco Conti (205-83) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Marco Cardillo (196-85) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds for Bari. Torino have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-3 record. Bari at the other side dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Treviglio. Torino are looking forward to face Mirandola (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bari will have a break next round.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Castelletto (13-10) against thirteenth ranked Firenze (10-11) on Sunday night. Visiting Castelletto was defeated by Firenze in Firenze 79-68. Swingman Daniele Casadei (199-81) stepped up and scored 30 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Mattia Caroldi chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side forward Alex Ranuzzi (195-86, agency: Interperformances) responded with 9 points and 14 rebounds. Firenze moved-up to twelfth place. Castelletto at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Agrigento. Firenze will play against higher ranked Treviglio (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Castelletto will play against Perugia (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Chieti was also quite interesting. Seventh ranked Agrigento (13-10) played at the court of 8th ranked Chieti (11-12). Agrigento managed to secure a 7-point victory 90-83 on Sunday. Albano Chiarastella nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Agrigento's coach Franco Ciani used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Emanuele Rossi came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds for Chieti in the defeat. Agrigento moved-up to third place, which they share with Castelletto. Loser Chieti dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Agrigento will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Chieti will play against Reggio Calabr. (#10) in Reggio Calabria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very interesting game took place in Perugia. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Treviglio (12-10) to eighteenth ranked Perugia (6-17) 79-76 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Davide Poltroneri fired 28 points for the winners. Perugia's coach Andrea Fabrizi allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Perugia maintains eighteenth place with 6-17 record. Treviglio at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Perugia's next round opponent will be higher ranked Castelletto (#4) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Omegna (12-9) and Latina Basket (9-15), which took place in Latina. 4th placed Omegna lost to seventeenth ranked Latina Basket in a road game 79-88 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Omegna. Latina Basket moved-up to fifteenth place. Loser Omegna dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Latina Basket will face higher ranked Casalpusterlengo (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Omegna will play against Mazzeo San Severo (#17).

Other games in round 25 were not that significant. Lucca beat San Severo on the road 72-67. Ferrara lost to Casalpusterlengo on its own court 71-79. Mirandola unfortunately lost to Matera in a road game 87-91.
The most impressive performance of 25th round was 29 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals by Ousmane Gueye of San Severo.

San Severo - Lucca 67-72
