There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in A2.

The most shocking disappointment of round 21 was only one-point a home defeat of 7th ranked Broni (10-11) to eighth ranked Alghero (11-10) 69-68 in the game for the seventh place. The guests trailed by 13 points after three quarters before their 26-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Alghero forced 20 Broni turnovers. Naturalized Argentinian forward Alejandra Chesta (187-82, agency: Players Group) stepped up and scored 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and point guard Sara Farris (166-85) chipped in 16 points. The best for the losing side was Latvian center Liga Surkusa (194-91) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds. Alghero moved-up to seventh place in North. Newly promoted Broni dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Alghero are looking forward to face Muggia (#10) at home in the next round. Broni will play against Marghera in Venezia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Battipaglia. Fifth ranked Min.Battipaglia (13-6) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 3rd placed S. La Spezia (14-5) 54-53 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of S. La Spezia. Dutch Kourtney Treffers (186-94) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and Giovanna Granieri accounted for 15 points and 7 steals. International center Maria Laterza (190-89, college: Marist, agency: Two Points) came up with 13 points and 7 rebounds for S. La Spezia in the defeat. Min.Battipaglia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place in South with 13-6 record. S. La Spezia at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Napoli S.Dike.
The game between Top Four teams took place in San Martino di L. Second ranked host San Martino (18-3) smashed 4th placed TEC-MAR Crema (13-8) 78-47. The best player for the winners was Martina Sandri who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Magdalena Losi who recorded 18 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Martino have a solid series of three victories in a row. A2 top team - Umana Reyer (20-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Valmadrera (6-15) in Venezia 92-49. It was a good game for Simina Mandache who led her team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Umana Reyer have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. Newly promoted Umana Reyer maintains first place in North with 20-1 record. Valmadrera lost fifth consecutive game.
