Aradori
There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Cimberio Varese (16-4) on the court of fourth ranked Cantu on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Cantu 67-60. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 67-60. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Pietro Aradori (195-88) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and American-Israeli center Alex Tyus (205-88, college: Florida) who added 7 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. American power forward Bryant Dunston (202-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Cantu maintains fourth position with 13-7 record, which they share with Acea Virtus RM. Cimberio Varese at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. They share the position with Banco di Sard.. Cantu is looking forward to face Air Avellino (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cimberio Varese will play against Juvecaserta (#10) in Caserta and is hoping to win this game.
Armani Milano (#5) was upset in Reggio Emilia by eighth ranked Trenkwalder RE 79-61. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Armani Milano. The winners were led by American-Swiss Greg Brunner (201-83, college: Iowa) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and Donnel Taylor supported him with 19 points. Even a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds by center Ioannis Bourousis (213-83, agency: FCM) did not help to save the game for Armani Milano. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trenkwalder RE have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Umana VE. Armani Milano at the other side dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Trenkwalder RE will play against VL Pesaro (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Armani Milano will play against Montepaschi Siena (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Tenth-ranked Juvecaserta (8-12) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Lottomatica Roma (13-7) in Caserta on Sunday. The visitors from Roma managed to secure only two-point victory 66-64. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was Phil Goss who scored 13 points and 4 assists. Stevan Jelovac produced 17 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Lottomatica Roma moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cantu. Juvecaserta lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Vanoli CR. Lottomatica Roma will meet at home Vanoli Cremona (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Juvecaserta will play against the league's leader Cimberio Varese and hope to secure a win.
A very interesting game took place in Cremona. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 13th ranked Sutor Montegranaro (6-14) to twelfth ranked Vanoli Cremona (8-12) 89-87 on Sunday evening. Andrija Stipanovic orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Sutor Montegranaro's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vanoli Cremona moved-up to tenth place, which they share with JuveCaserta. Sutor Montegranaro at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Vanoli Cremona's next round opponent will be higher ranked Lottomatica Roma (#5) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sutor Montegranaro will play against Umana Venezia (#7).
Third ranked Montepaschi Siena (14-6) crushed at home 16th ranked Angelico Biella (4-16) by 23 points 98-75, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. Worth to mention a quality performance of Benjamin Ortner who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains third position with 14-6 record having just two points less than leader Cimberio VA. Loser Angelico Biella stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Montepaschi Siena will face Armani Milano (#6) on the road in the next round. Angelico Biella will play against SAIE3 BO (#12) in Bologna.

In the last two games of round 20 Enel Brindisi lost to Umana VE on the opponent's court 68-76. Banco di Sard. managed to outperform Pesaro in a home game 87-76.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 28 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists by Drake Diener of Banco di Sard..

Armani Milano (#5) was upset in Reggio Emilia by eighth ranked Trenkwalder RE 79-61. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Armani Milano. The game was mostly controlled by Trenkwalder RE. Armani Milano was better in third quarter 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trenkwalder RE dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Armani Milano's 38. The winners were led by American-Swiss Greg Brunner (201-83, college: Iowa) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and American guard Donnel Taylor (198-82, college: UAB) supported him with 19 points. Four Trenkwalder RE players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds by center Ioannis Bourousis (213-83, agency: FCM) did not help to save the game for Armani Milano. Trenkwalder RE have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Umana VE.
