The Regular Season in A1 is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds.

Seventh-ranked Pall.Pozzuoli (4-11) made lots of trouble for third ranked Parma (11-4) on Sunday. The visitors from Parma managed to secure only three-point victory 89-86. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-86. Parma made 30-of-37 free shots (81.1 percent) during the game. Parma had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Pall.Pozzuoli helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Croatian center Sonja Kireta (198-76) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. New Zealand-American forward Jillian Harmon (185-87, college: Stanford) chipped in 29 points and 5 rebounds. American swingman Darxia Morris (172-89, college: UCLA, agency: Merit Sports) produced 27 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Parma maintains third place with 11-4 record having just three points less than leader Familia Schio, which they share with Taranto. Pall.Pozzuoli at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Parma is looking forward to face Taranto (#4) at home in the next round. Pall.Pozzuoli will play against the league's second-placed Lucca and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

American forward Aishah Sutherland (187-90, college: Kansas, agency: Two Points) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for Orvieto. Familia Schio (14-1) have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place. Orvieto lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Familia Schio will play against Priolo (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Orvieto will have a break next round.

In the last game of round 19 Cagliari CUS was crushed by Priolo in a road game 75-55.
The best stats of 19th round was 22 points and 19 rebounds by Kelley Cain of Priolo.



Taranto - Chieti 71-42

The game with biggest result difference took place in Taranto. Local Taranto (11-4) outscored 8th ranked C.U.S. Chieti (4-12) 71-42 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-42. Taranto dominated on the defensive end, holding C.U.S. Chieti to just 4 points in third quarter and to 13 points in second half. Taranto dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to C.U.S. Chieti's 22. Taranto forced 25 C.U.S. Chieti turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward Megan Mahoney (183-83, college: Kansas St., agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Lithuanian center Gintare Petronyte (196-89) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American-Puerto Rican Jazmine Sepulveda (178-85, college: S.Florida, agency: Merit Sports) responded with 14 points and Argentinian point guard Debora Gonzalez (169-90, agency: Players Group) scored 11 points. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Parma. C.U.S. Chieti lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Orvieto was better in fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Familia Schio forced 23 Orvieto turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jantel Lavender (190-88, college: Ohio St.) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. The former international power forward Jenifer Nadalin (186-83, college: Furman) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Aishah Sutherland (187-90, college: Kansas, agency: Two Points) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import center Shamela Hampton (191-87, college: UNLV) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Orvieto. Priolo - Cagliari CUS 75-55

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Cagliari CUS (3-13) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Priolo (6-9) 75-55 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Priolo's pressure prevailed and they won that period 27-11 extending their advantage to 20 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Cagliari CUS's 18. They outrebounded Cagliari CUS 39-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American center Kelley Cain (198-89, college: Tennessee) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Serbian forward Monika Veselovski (183-77) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Priolo players scored in double figures. At the losing side Swedish guard Elin Eldebrink (174-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and American forward Melissa Goodall (189-89, college: Toledo) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds.
