There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in A1. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The most exciting game of round 20 in the A1 took place in Chieti. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Umbertide (8-8) to eighth ranked C.U.S. Chieti (5-12) 63-61 on Sunday evening. C.U.S. Chieti made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Umbertide turnovers. American-Puerto Rican Jazmine Sepulveda (178-85, college: S.Florida, agency: Merit Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Elisa Silva (192-88) contributed with 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American D'Andra Moss (178-88, college: VCU, agency: Two Points) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds for Umbertide. C.U.S. Chieti moved-up to seventh place. Umbertide lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. C.U.S. Chieti will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Umbertide will play at home against Parma (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Parma (12-4) which hosted in Parma one of their biggest challengers Taranto (11-5). Third ranked Parma managed to get a 7-point victory 67-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Taranto. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian center Sonja Kireta (198-76) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and Valeria Battisodo who added 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. American forward Megan Mahoney (183-83, college: Kansas St., agency: LBM Management) responded with 8 points and 13 rebounds. Parma maintains third position with 12-4 record having just three points less than leader Familia Schio. Defending champion Taranto keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Parma will play against Umbertide (#5) on the road in the next round. Taranto will play against Pall.Pozzuoli and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Even a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds by Kelley Cain did not help to save the game for Priolo. Familia Schio have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-1 record. Priolo at the other side keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. Familia Schio will meet at home Cagliari CUS (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Priolo will play against Orvieto (#9) and hope to secure a win.

The best player for the winners was Adrienne Johnson who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Lucca's coach Mirco Diamanti felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lucca have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-3 record having just two points less than leader Familia Schio. Pall.Pozzuoli at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. Lucca's next round opponent will be Orvieto (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Pall.Pozzuoli will play against Taranto.



Lucca - Pozzuoli 82-46

The game between second ranked Lucca (13-3) and 7th ranked Pall.Pozzuoli (4-12) in Lucca ended with biggest points difference. Lucca outscored guests from Pozzuoli 82-46. The game was mostly controlled by Lucca. Pall.Pozzuoli was better in second period 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Pall.Pozzuoli to just 7 points in third quarter. Lucca dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Pall.Pozzuoli's 32. Lucca forced 26 Pall.Pozzuoli turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Adrienne Johnson (182-89, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: LBM Management) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Slovakian center Marie Ruzickova (189-86, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Five Lucca players scored in double figures. Lucca's coach Mirco Diamanti felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Kalana Greene (178-87, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and her fellow American import swingman Darxia Morris (172-89, college: UCLA, agency: Merit Sports) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Lucca have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-3 record having just two points less than leader Familia Schio. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-61. Familia Schio dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Priolo's 38. Familia Schio forced 20 Priolo turnovers. The winners were led by American center Jantel Lavender (190-88, college: Ohio St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and French center Elodie Godin (191-85) supported her with 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. But then Parma took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 7 points. Le Mura Lucca - Famila Schio 66-80 Famila Wuber Schio have won Final Four Coppa Italia in Venice. They beat Le Mura Lucca 80-66 in the Final game. Le Mura Lucca took control of the game in the first quarter and led 20-15 at the end of the first 10 minutes. They still remained in front at the halftime with a narrow 31-30 lead, but then Famila Schio dominated the court.
