The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tuscany Pistoia as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tuscany Pistoia defeated 15th ranked Aget Service IM at home 70-61. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aget Service IM won third quarter 14-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Aget Service IM 52-35 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Aget Service IM helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was swingman Riccardo Cortese (195-86) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. The former international power forward Giacomo Galanda (211-75) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Francesco Foiera (207-75, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 14 points and 7 rebounds. Tuscany Pistoia (15-5) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Aget Service IM at the other side stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Aget Service IM will play next round against strong Sigma Barcellona trying to get back on the winning streak. Tuscany Pistoia will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Givova Scafati on the road.
Top ranked Sigma Barcellona (14-6) recorded its sixth loss at the home court. Hosts were edged by third ranked Novipiu Casale (14-6) 79-77. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sigma Barcellona. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It was a good game for American point guard Casper Ware (177-90, college: Long Beach St.) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 assists. Niccolo Martinoni contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Taurean Green (184-85, college: Florida) answered with 21 points and 6 assists for Sigma Barcellona. The victory was the third consecutive win for Novipiu Casale. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Sigma Barcel. Novipiu Casale will play against Prima Veroli (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Sigma Barcellona will play against Aget Service IM (#15) in Imola and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game where host Pall.Trento (#8) won against 5th ranked Biancoblu BO 80-67 on Sunday evening. Davide Pascolo stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The best for the losing side was William Mosley with 8 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks. Biancoblu BO's coach Stefano Salieri rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Pall.Trento maintains eighth place with 9-10 record. Loser Biancoblu BO dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Pall.Trento will meet FCM Ferentino (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Biancoblu BO will play against Tezenis VE (#10) in Verona and hope to secure a win.
A very interesting game took place in Jesi. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked LeGamberi Foods Forli (10-10) to fourteenth ranked Fileni BPA Jesi (8-12) 78-77 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of LeGamberi Foods Forli. Michele Maggioli nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side. Fileni BPA Jesi moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Upea CdO. LeGamberi Foods Forli at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Fileni BPA Jesi's next round opponent will be Upea CdO (#11) in Capo d'Orlando.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Trieste. Local AcegasAps TR (9-11) outscored 11th ranked Upea CdO (8-12) 91-69 on Sunday night. The best player for the winners was Mikita Meshcharakou who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. AcegasAps TR's coach Eugenio Dalmasson felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AcegasAps TR moved-up to ninth place. Upea CdO at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. AcegasAps TR will face higher ranked LeGamberi Foods Forli (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Upea CdO will play against Fileni BPA Jesi (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 21 Givova Scafati defeated Prima Veroli in a road game 88-84.

Pall.Trento - Biancoblu BO 80-67

An interesting game where host Pall.Trento (#8) won against 5th ranked Biancoblu BO 80-67 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Pall.Trento. Biancoblu BO managed to win fourth quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
