The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Ninth-ranked Enel Brindisi (10-11) made lots of trouble for second ranked Banco di Sard. (17-4) on Sunday. The visitors from Sassari managed to secure only two-point victory 95-93. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 24-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Drake Diener (196-81, college: De Paul, agency: Priority Sports) who scored 24 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Travis Diener (184-82, college: Marquette) chipped in 29 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Scottie Reynolds (188-87, college: Villanova) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 assists. Banco di Sard. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Cimberio VA. Newly promoted Enel Brindisi keeps the ninth place with 11 games lost. Banco di Sard. is looking forward to face Air Avellino (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Enel Brindisi will play against VL Pesaro (#16) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Montepaschi Siena (14-7) against sixth ranked Armani Milano (13-8) on Sunday night. Visiting Montepaschi Siena was defeated by Armani Milano in a tough game in Milano 68-72. It was a good game for swingman Alessandro Gentile (198-92) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Ioannis Bourousis contributed with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) answered with 24 points for Montepaschi Siena. Montepaschi Siena's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Armani Milano moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Cantu. Defending champion Montepaschi Siena keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Acea Virtus RM. Armani Milano will play against Umana Venezia (#8) on the road in the next round. Montepaschi Siena will play against Lottomatica Roma (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Angelico Biella managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of two consecutive loses on Sunday night. This time they won against twelfth-ranked SAIE3 BO 87-76. Kevinn Pinkney stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The best for the losing side was Angelo Gigli with 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Angelico Biella (5-16) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Pesaro. SAIE3 BO at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Angelico Biella will meet league's leader Cimberio Varese on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SAIE3 BO will play against Juvecaserta (#10) in Caserta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Leader Cimberio Varese delivered the seventeenth victory. This time they beat 10th ranked Juvecaserta (8-13) 74-62. Mike Green nailed 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Cimberio Varese maintains first place with 17-4 record, which they share with Banco di Sard. Juvecaserta lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Cimberio Varese's next round opponent will be Angelico Biella (#15) at home which should be an easy win for them. Juvecaserta will play against SAIE3 BO (#12) in Bologna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Fifteenth-ranked VL Pesaro (5-16) made lots of trouble for eighth ranked Trenkwalder RE (12-9) on Sunday. The visitors from Reggio Emilia managed to secure only three-point victory 68-65. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was Andrea Cinciarini who scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Trenkwalder RE's coach Massimiliano Menetti used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Trenkwalder RE have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place. Loser VL Pesaro dropped to the bottom position with 16 games lost. Trenkwalder RE will face Sutor Montegranaro (#13) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. VL Pesaro will play against Enel Brindisi.

Other games of round 21 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Umana VE was crushed by Sutor MGR in Montegranaro 88-64. Acea Virtus RM beat Vanoli CR at home 79-71. Cantu lost to Sidigas AV on the opponent's court 52-63.

Enel Brindisi - Banco di Sard. 93-95

Sutor MGR - Umana VE 88-64

There was an upset when higher ranked Umana Venezia (11-10) was crushed on the road by thirteenth ranked Sutor Montegranaro (7-14) 88-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Sutor Montegranaro. Umana Venezia was better in fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sutor Montegranaro made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Umana Venezia turnovers. Umana Venezia was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Christian Burns (203-85, college: Philadelphia, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) chipped in 22 points. Four Sutor Montegranaro players scored in double figures. No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Lottomatica Roma (14-7) defeated at home 11th ranked Vanoli Cremona (8-13) 79-71 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 8 points. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jordan Taylor (185-89, college: Wisconsin) who scored 21 points. American-Nigerian power forward Gani Lawal (205-88, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian center Andrija Stipanovic (209-86) who recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds and international point guard Luca Vitali (201-86) added 9 points and 9 assists respectively.
