The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Ninth-ranked Enel Brindisi (10-11) made lots of trouble for second ranked Banco di Sard. (17-4) on Sunday. The visitors from Sassari managed to secure only two-point victory 95-93. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 24-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Drake Diener (196-81, college: De Paul, agency: Priority Sports) who scored 24 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Travis Diener (184-82, college: Marquette) chipped in 29 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Scottie Reynolds (188-87, college: Villanova) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 assists. Banco di Sard. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Cimberio VA. Newly promoted Enel Brindisi keeps the ninth place with 11 games lost. Banco di Sard. is looking forward to face Air Avellino (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Enel Brindisi will play against VL Pesaro (#16) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Montepaschi Siena (14-7) against sixth ranked Armani Milano (13-8) on Sunday night. Armani Milano will play against Umana Venezia (#8) on the road in the next round. Montepaschi Siena will play against Lottomatica Roma (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
