The 27-year old forward had a double-double of 25 points and twelve rebounds, while his team crushed Umana VE (#8, 11-10) with 24-point margin 88-64. Sutor MGR maintains the 13th position in Italian SerieA. Sutor MGR is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-14 record. Burns turned to be Sutor MGR's top player in his first season with the team. Philadelphia University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Burns is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 7.1rpg) and averages solid 53.6% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old Bulgarian forward Kaloyan Ivanov (205-F-86, agency: Beo Basket) of Sidigas AV. Ivanov impressed basketball fans with 9 points and 21 rebounds. Of course Sidigas AV cruised to a 63-52 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Cantu (#5, 13-8). Sidigas AV's 14th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-14 record. Ivanov is a newcomer at Sidigas AV and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.
The third best performed player last round was another Sidigas AV's star - Slovenian Jaka Lakovic (186-PG-78). Lakovic scored 27 points and passed five assists. He was another key player of Sidigas AV, helping his team with a 63-52 win against the higher-ranked Cantu (#5, 13-8). The chances of Sidigas AV not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 14 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Lakovic could try to bring Sidigas AV's a little bit higher in the standings. Lakovic has a very solid season. In 4 games in Italy he scored 15.5ppg.
