The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Sixteenth-ranked Latina Basket (9-18) was very close to win a game against second ranked Matera (18-9) on Sunday. Matera managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 30-23. But Latina Basket won second period 17-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international power forward Massimo Rezzano (203-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Swingman Andrea Vitale (199-82, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Forward Filippo Gagliardo (206-78) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for Latina Basket. Matera maintains second place with 18-9 record having five points less than leader Torino. Latina Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 18 games lost. They share it with San Severo. Matera are looking forward to face Agrigento (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Latina Basket will play against Mazzeo San Severo (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Agrigento (15-11) against seventeenth ranked Mazzeo San Severo (9-18) on Sunday night. Visiting Agrigento was edged by Mazzeo San Severo in a tough game in San Severo 80-81. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Agrigento. Swingman Ivan Scarponi (196-86) stepped up and scored 23 points for the winners and Andrea Iannilli chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian forward Albano Chiarastella (196-85) responded with 19 points. Agrigento's coach Franco Ciani tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mazzeo San Severo moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Latina Basket. Newly promoted Agrigento keeps the third position with 11 games lost. They share it with Castelletto. Mazzeo San Severo will play against Latina Basket (#17) on the road in the next round. Agrigento will play against the league's second-placed Matera (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
Nazionale A top team - Torino (23-4) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Treviglio (14-12) 88-78. Jakub Wojciechowski nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Matteo Raminelli came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds for Treviglio in the defeat. Torino have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 23-4 record. Treviglio at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Lucca. Torino will meet Chieti (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Treviglio will play against Casalpusterlengo (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Casalpusterlengo was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Lucca (14-12) played at the court of seventh ranked Casalpusterlengo (14-11). Casalpusterlengo defeated Lucca 73-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lucca. The best player for the winners was Gianpaolo Ricci who scored 9 points and 13 rebounds. Casalpusterlengo moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Lucca keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Casalpusterlengo's next round opponent will be Treviglio (#6) on the road. Lucca will play against Recanati.
Important game to mention about took place in Firenze. Fifteenth ranked Recanati (11-14) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging higher ranked Firenze (11-13) 67-66 on Monday evening. Marco Gnaccarini saved the victory by scoring 17 points. Recanati have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Mirandola. Loser Firenze keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Recanati will face higher ranked Lucca (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
