The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Sixteenth-ranked Latina Basket (9-18) was very close to win a game against second ranked Matera (18-9) on Sunday. Matera managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 30-23. But Latina Basket won second period 17-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international power forward Massimo Rezzano (203-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Swingman Andrea Vitale (199-82, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Forward Filippo Gagliardo (206-78) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for Latina Basket. Matera maintains second place with 18-9 record having five points less than leader Torino. Latina Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 18 games lost. They share it with San Severo. Matera are looking forward to face Agrigento (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Latina Basket will play against Mazzeo San Severo (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Agrigento (15-11) against seventeenth ranked Mazzeo San Severo (9-18) on Sunday night. Naturalized Argentinian forward Albano Chiarastella (196-85) responded with 19 points. Agrigento's coach Franco Ciani tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mazzeo San Severo moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Latina Basket. Newly promoted Agrigento keeps the third position with 11 games lost. They share it with Castelletto. Mazzeo San Severo will play against Latina Basket (#17) on the road in the next round. Agrigento will play against the league's second-placed Matera (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
