France opened the game with 20-7 lead and never looked behind after. They continued their dominance in the court and added a 28-15 surge in the second frame. Moreover France posted a 20-13 rally in the third quarter and led 33 points after 30 minutes. Italy managed to win the last stanza 23-14 and reduced to final 82:58 result. Sandrine Gruda (193-C-87) poured in 19 points to lead the charge and Nwal-Endene Miyem (188-PF-88) nailed 17.
