    Trepca wins BKT Superleague title - Jun 6, 2012

    Trepca is the new champion of Kosovo. They managed to beat Sigal Prishtina on the road tonight 67-79 in decisive Game Five of the Finals. It means that Trepca won the series with 3-2. Sigal Prishtina is dethroned after six years (06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11). It is important to mention that Trepca already won the Kosovan Cup earlier this year.
    Trepca had wonderful second half tonight. They scored 40 points, while at the same time limited Sigal to 26. The hosts had 2-point lead at the halftime. Drilon Hajrizi (208-C-91) stepped up for the winners with 26 points. Besnik Azemi (198-F/C-89) had 17 and Gazmend Asllani (200-F-86) added 12. In the loosing squad, John Gilchrist (187-G-84, college: Maryland) was better than the others with 12 pts. Edmond Azemi (201-G/F-80, agency: Prossin Sports Management) stopped to 11.

    Trepca is the Cup winner - Apr 30, 2012

    Trepca won the 2012 Cup trophy. They outplayed Bashkimi in the Big Final 86-71. The game was played last night at Karagac court in Peja. Emir Zimic (215-C-86, agency: World Sport Agency) was the leading player in victory with 20 points. Drilon Hajrizi (208-C-91) secured a great help adding 15 points in this win. Jaleel Nelson (196-G-87, college: Chowan) and Besnik Azemi (198-F/C-89) followed with 14 points each.
    Trepca eliminated Sigal Prishtina in the Semifinals. It was a 87-76 victory for the Mitrovica team. Drilon Hajrizi exploded with 27 points for the winners. Jaleel Nelson had 18 points and Emir Zimic registered 12 points, plus 5 blocks. John Gilchrist (187-G-84, college: Maryland) responded with 24 points in defeat and Gerald Inman (208-F-87, college: Rutgers) had 24.
    Peja was the Cup winner last season.

    Kosovo All Stars match - Mar 29, 2012

    In memoriam of former Basketball Federation General Secretary, Isuf Lumi, that died two years before, Basketball Federation of Kosovo is organizing a All Stars match between Kosovo National Team and the Internationals team, based on players that are playing in BKT Superliga.

    Kosovo National coach, Arben Krasniqi, has decided to take in his team for the match these players: Ersid Ljuca, Granit Rugova, Edmond Azemi (201-G/F-80, agency: Prossin Sports Management), Elvan Iljazi, Samir Shaptahovic, Gazmend Asllani, Imer Tahiri, Edis Kuraja, Mustafe Merovci, Rron Grapci, Mirza Ahmetbasic and Blerim Mazreku.

    On the other hand the Internationals coach, Ivica Maric, has taken all the abroad players that play in BKT Superliga, consisting of, Gerald Inman, John Gilchrist, Rolando Little, Charles Bronson, Mario Edwards, Dustin Scott, Jaleel Nelson, Emir Zimic, Fikret Handjic and Darrin Williams.

    The match will be played in Suhareka, the place where the former secretary cames from and will start at 18:00 hrs. on April 1st.
