    Kene Obi
Nigerian Center Kene Obi (216-C-88, college: Oklah.Baptist) (218-C-88, college: Oklah.Baptist) from De Paul (NCAA) and former player of BKP Kastrioti Ferizaj (Kosova-SuperLeague) had an interview:

You have been selected to play in the well known De paul, What you remember from that period?

It was a very unforgettable period while I was in De Paul and the most vivid memory is the day we beat Cincinnati in the First round on Big East tournament after having losing streak. It was a good feeling, we felt like we won the Big East championship.

Why a coach should sign you in his team, whats your strengths?

I am a big defense presence underneath the basket. I have the ability to change a game with my size and strength.

Who is the coach you want to Thank and why?

There are many coaches and individuals with my basketball experience that have helped me in many ways, maybe coaching or advising. I just want to thank everyone that has helped me out from the first time I started playing ball, I do appreciate all their help. I am thankful for this opportunity to let them know I appreciate everything they have done for me.

Which country will you prefer to play pro basketball?

The country does not matter so much. I know I will survive and succeed in any country.

Nigeria produces many players that last years and there are some with good career in NBA and in top European leagues. Who in your opinion is the best Nigerian player?

There are many good Nigerian players with great potential out there. Hakeem Olajuwon has been the greatest, in my opinion. But there are a lot of Nigerian players out there that have the potential to be like him.

How do you spend your free time?

I spend most of my spare time reading, working out and playing ball, and enjoying my friends company. Sometimes I use my free time to call and chat with my family back home in Nigeria.

We bring you last week's top performances from Kosovans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an international swingman Scott Bamforth (188-89, agency: BeoBasket). He could not help RETAbet BB (10-12) in their last game. Despite Bamforth's very good performance RETAbet BB lost 71-82 at home to the lower-ranked (#12) UCAM Murcia.    [read more]
