    SuperLeague Round 21: No surprise as #1 Sigal Prishtina defeat Rahoveci - Mar 13, 2017

    SuperLeague top team - Sigal Prishtina (16-3) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Rahoveci (6-13) 94-74. The game without a history. Sigal Prishtina led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Mike Moser (203-90, college: Oregon) stepped up and scored 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and the former international center Urim Zenelaj (213-91, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Artin Gashi (203-93) with 19 points and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 16-3 record. Rahoveci lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. Sigal Prishtina are looking forward to face league's second-placed Bashkimi in Prizren in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rahoveci will play on the road against Kerasan (#8) in Prishtina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Kerasan's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Trepca maintains fourth place with 14-7 record. Kerasan at the other side stay dead last with 20 lost games. Trepca will play against Vellaznimi (#7) in Gjakove in the next round. Kerasan will play at home against Rahoveci and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The best player for the winners was Chris Olivier who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 19 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Beqe Kovaqi who recorded 23 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Xhebrailat maintains fifth place with 10-10 record. Vellaznimi lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 19 games lost. Xhebrailat will meet higher ranked Peja (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vellaznimi will play against Trepca (#4) and hope to secure a win.

    Kerasan - Trepca 68-95

    The game in Prishtina supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Trepca (14-7) played at the court of 8th ranked Kerasan (1-20). Trepca smashed Kerasan 95-68. The game was mostly controlled by Trepca. Kerasan was better in fourth quarter 25-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trepca dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kerasan's 30. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Montenegrin forward Nikola Ljujic (202-91) nailed 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American guard Jeremy Wise (191-86, college: S.Mississippi) accounted for 21 points and 9 assists. Four Trepca players scored in double figures. Point guard Alban Latifaj (185-91) came up with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Dardan Kapiti (204-0) added 6 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks respectively for Kerasan in the defeat. Kerasan's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Trepca maintains fourth place with 14-7 record. The game without a history. Xhebrailat led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Vellaznimi's 36. They outrebounded Vellaznimi 50-30 including a 40-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Xhebrailat looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Vellaznimi's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Chris Olivier (203-92, college: Oklahoma St.) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 19 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Kevin Brown (190-92, college: New Orleans) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Beqe Kovaqi (196-94) who recorded 23 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Avdijaj Kreshnik (191-99) added 16 points respectively.
