    SuperLeague Round 22: Sigal Prishtina beat Bashkimi in the most crucial game of the week - Mar 19, 2017

    An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Prishtina. First ranked Sigal Prishtina faced their biggest opponent Bashkimi. Host Sigal Prishtina (17-3) defeated guests from Prizren (15-4) 95-85. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Bashkimi. The game without a history. Sigal Prishtina led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Bashkimi's players. The former international forward Drilon Hajrizi (203-91) fired 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Sigal Prishtina's coach Audrius Prakuraitis used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Justin Black (188-92, college: Morgan St., agency: Octagon Europe) produced 25 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-3 record. Bashkimi at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. Sigal Prishtina are looking forward to face league's second-placed Peja in Peje in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bashkimi will play at home against Kerasan and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
    The game in Prishtina supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Rahoveci (7-13) played at the court of 8th ranked Kerasan (1-21). Rahoveci smashed Kerasan 107-85. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Ronald Farmer-Blanchard (208-91, college: Wash.Adventist) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 22 rebounds. Artin Gashi contributed with 18 points for the winners. Power forward Mergim Jakupi (202-97) replied with 26 points for Kerasan. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Rahoveci maintains sixth position with 7-13 record. Kerasan lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Rahoveci will play against Vellaznimi (#7) in Gjakove in the next round. Kerasan will play on the road against Bashkimi in Prizren to get more than just one victory in their record.
    The game in Gjakove supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Trepca (15-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Vellaznimi (2-20). Trepca smashed Vellaznimi 98-74 on Saturday. Montrael Scott scored 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side Beqe Kovaqi responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Vellaznimi's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Trepca have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 15-7 record. Vellaznimi lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 20 games lost. Trepca will meet at home Xhebrailat (#5) in the next round. Vellaznimi will play against Rahoveci and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Peja's next round opponent will be league's leader Sigal Prishtina on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Xhebrailat will play against Trepca (#4) in Mitrovice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

    Kerasan - Rahoveci 85-107

    The game in Prishtina supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Rahoveci (7-13) played at the court of 8th ranked Kerasan (1-21). Rahoveci smashed Kerasan 107-85. The game was mostly controlled by Rahoveci. Kerasan was better in third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rahoveci dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Kerasan's 30. Rahoveci forced 30 Kerasan turnovers and outrebounded them 49-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Ronald Farmer-Blanchard (208-91, college: Wash.Adventist) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 22 rebounds. American guard Montrael Scott (190-93, college: Prairie View A&M) scored 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Jeremy Wise (191-86, college: S.Mississippi) chipped in 21 points and 11 assists during the contest. At the losing side Beqe Kovaqi (196-94) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Musab Mala (185-96) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists.
