Barons kvartals celebrated D2 title. They swept the title series against BK VEF. Barons kvartals earned a 93:59 victory tonight to claim the Gold medals. Salvis Metra (195-G/F-84) scored 18 points, issued 6 assists and grabbed 5 boards to pace the winners. Barons kvartals erupted for 30 points in the first term to clear off. They piled up 15-point lead at the first break. BK VEF slowed down the hosts in the second quarter. The visitors narrowed the deficit at 14-point mark at halftime 30:44. Barons kvartals however took over once again in the third term. The hosts stretched the margin to as many as 28 points with one quarter remaining. Barons kvartals stayed determined in the final frame and rallied to the victory at the end. Michal Hlebowicki (204-F-76) accounted for 16 points, while Ilmars Bergmanis (184-PG-81) added 14 points, 6 assists and 4 boards in the victory. Arvis Savcenko (200-C) answered with 15 points for BK VEF. Martins Rozenbergs (202-C/F-90) produced 8 points in the loss.
