Daviin Davis managed 12.2 points, 4.8 boards and 1.3 assists in six games played for Kataja. The forward graduated from the Weber State University in 2009. The Latvian team threw all they had in Greece after a bitter 15-point loss in the first leg. But the road victory appeared insufficient as Panellinios made it through.

Panellinios opened the second quarter with 8 points in a row to stretch the lead. However Ingus Bankevics, Alex Renfroe (190-G-86, college: Belmont) and Mazeika kept VEF Riga within striking distance as the visitors trailed by 9 points at halftime. VEF Riga used long-range artillery in the third frame to narrow the margin. They entered the final stanza down by just 4 points. VEF Riga went on a 9:0 run midway through the fourth quarter to jump in front. Alex Renfroe and Ingus Bankevics capped the regulation with 3 points as VEF Riga sealed a useless road win at the end.
