Leader VEF Riga junior delivered the nineteenth win on Tuesday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked Livani (6-14) 99-50. The game without a history. VEF Riga junior led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. VEF Riga junior maintains first place with 19-2 record. Livani at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Cesis and Jelgava/LLU. VEF Riga junior will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Livani will play at home against Ventspils Augstskola (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Riga: RSU (#7) and Ridzene (#16). Ridzene was crushed at home by 18 points 70-88. Newly promoted RSU maintains seventh place with 12-9 record. Ridzene lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

In the last two games of round 25 Ogres defeated Jelgava/LLU in a road game 61-53. DSN smashed Gulbene at home 89-70.


Ridzene - RSU 70-88

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Riga: RSU (#7) and Ridzene (#16). Ridzene was crushed at home by 18 points 70-88. The game was mostly controlled by RSU. Ridzene was better in third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Newly promoted RSU maintains seventh place with 12-9 record. Ridzene lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Jelgava/LLU - Ogres 53-61

There was a minor upset in Jelgava where 11th ranked Zemgale/Juniors (6-14) were defeated by thirteenth ranked BS Ogre (6-13) 61-53. BS Ogre moved-up to tenth place. Zemgale/Juniors at the other side keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Cesis and Livani. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

DSN - Gulbene 89-70

No shocking result in a game in Riga where ninth ranked DSN (10-10) smashed 15th ranked Gulbene (4-18) 89-70. The game was mostly controlled by DSN. Gulbene was better in second period 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Newly promoted DSN maintains ninth place with 10-10 record. Gulbene at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. DSN will play against higher ranked Saldus (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gulbene will play against Ventspils Augstskola (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
