Ieva Kulite
Ieva Kulite (191-C-88) and her Wolfenbuettel are the champion of 2011/2012 season in Germany. The Winner of the Regular Season overcame Halle 69:67 in the decisive Game 5 and triumphed in the Finals.
Wolfenbuettel started the game with 23-21, but the guests replied with 15- 13 in the second period. Halle managed to win the third period 19-17 and had 2-point advantage after 30 minutes. Wolfenbuettel however needed 16-12 in the last stanza to seal the victory.
Wildcats Wolfenbuettel outrebounded SV Halle Lions 40-26 including 24 on the offensive glass. American guard Natasha Harris stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and her fellow American import guard Tenaya Watson chipped in 6 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Ieva Kulite and Fikiel posted 11 each, while Nikagbatse notched 7. Canadian forward Tamara Tatham responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Slovakian guard Michaela Abelova scored 18 points. Kennedy followed them with 14 points in defeat.
Ieva Kulite averaged 7.4 points per game this season. Last year for the German side her stats read 6.4ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.5apg, FGP: 49.6%, 3PT: 20.0%, FT: 77.8%.

TTT Riga keeps Krastina for another season - 15 days ago
TTT Riga (LSBL) re-signed 27-year old international swingman Ieva Krastina (172-90, agency: LBM Management). She has played there for the last three seasons. Krastina managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). In 20 LSBL games she averaged 10.0ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.5apg and 2.7spg. A very good season in her career as she Eurobasket.com and selected to 1st Team. Krastina also played 8 games in Eurocup where she had 10.0ppg, 2.9rpg, 3.1apg and 2.6spg. Serbia and Latvia to host 2019 EuroBasket - 28 days ago
2019 EuroBasket will be held in Serbia and Latvia. Both teams will host two preliminary round groups each. The Final Stage will be played in Belgrade. The preliminary round groups will be played in Nis, Zrenjanin, Riga and Liepaja. Russia and Israel also bid for the EuroBasket hosting rights.   [read more]
