We bring you last week's top performances from Latvians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former international guard Armands Skele (192-83). He led Kalev/Cramo to an overtime victory over the league leader Tartu Ulikool (25-3) 87-76 in the Estonian KML in Tuesday night's game. Skele was MVP of the game. He scored 17 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 24 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn (23-5) is placed second in the KML. This year Skele averages: 9.2ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.6apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 54.2%, 3FGP: 39.5% and FT: 44.8% in the 21 games he played so far. He played for the Latvian senior national team three years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former international center Raitis Grafs (208-81, college: Valparaiso). Grafs led Siauliai to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Rudupis (16-6) crushing them 81-61 in the Lithuanian LKL last Wednesday. He scored 11 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BC Siauliai (16-6) is placed third in the LKL. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Grafs' overall stats this season are: 7.6ppg, 3.7rpg, 2FGP: 51.4% and FT: 74.2%. He played for the Latvian national team in 2010.

   #3. The Latvian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Davis Bertans (208-92). Bertans contributed to Partizan's victory against the second-ranked Radnicki Kragujevac (9-3) 82-76 in the Serbian A League on Saturday night. He scored 10 points in 15 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group SuperLiga. BC Partizan MT:S Beograd (10-2) is placed first. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. This year Bertans' overall stats are: 4.2ppg, 1.7rpg, 3FGP: 41.2% in the 10 games. He is also a member of the Latvian senior national team.

   #4. Guard Janis Strelnieks (191-89), who plays in the Russian PBL could not help Spartak St.Petersburg (9-9) to beat Unics Kazan (8-10). Strelnieks scored 7 points and added 3 passes. Spartak St.Petersburg was defeated 81-75 on the road by the lower-ranked Unics Kazan (#6). It's Strelnieks' first season with the team. His total stats this year are: 5.0ppg and 1.1apg. Strelnieks is also Latvian national team player.

   #5. International guard Janis Blums (190-82) was not able to help Gescrap BB (19-15) in their game against Caja Laboral (23-11) in the Spanish ACB. He recorded 5 points in 21 minutes. Gescrap BB lost 73-77 in Vitoria to the higher-ranked (#3) Caja Laboral. Blums has been at the team for four years. This season Blums' total stats are: 5.7ppg and 1.3rpg in the 32 games. He plays currently for the Latvian national team.

   #6. Swingman Mareks Jurevicus (197-85) was not able to secure a victory for Assi Ostuni (13-15) in their game against Enel Brindisi (18-10) in the Italian Lega2 (second division). Jurevicus did not beat the league record on Wednesday evening. He recorded only 2 points. Assi Ostuni was defeated 80-66 in Brindisi by the higher-ranked Enel (#3). Jurevicus has relatively good stats this season: 13.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.7apg and 1.1spg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Latvian National Team roster.

Valmiera trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 22-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 80-85 at the end of the game. SC Memele celebrate LBL3 title in Latvia. They won the Final series against Ezerzeme/ Rezekne 2-0 with a 92-77 win last night. SC Memele dominated the first period and led 16-5 at the end of it. Moreover they exploded with a final push in the third period to seal the victory.
