Slovenia posted the fourth straight win at the U20 European Championship. The hosts held off Latvia to improve at 3-0 record in Group F of the Second Stage of the tournament. Alen Omic (215-C-92) posted 14 points to pace the hosts. Latvia got to a flying start. The visitors grabbed a 20:14 lead after ten minutes. Slovenia quickly came back to life. They took over in the second quarter and tied things up at 37 at halftime. Slovenia surged ahead in the third quarter. They held the Baltic team to 13 points in the period to take a 4-point lead heading into the final frame. Latvia got within three points late in regulation however Rupnik, Matej Rojc (198-G-93) and Gezim Morina (204-C/F-92) sealed the winning outcome for the hosts from the stripe. Gezim Morina and Matej Rojc finished with 11 points each for the winners. Janis Timma (201-F/G-92, agency: FCM) responded with 17 points for Latvia. Kaspars Silins (183-G-92) netted 15 points in the loss.

Khimki celebrated the second straight win at the VTB League Quarterfinals. The Winner of Group A improved to 2-0 lead in the series after a 104:82 win in Game 2.

The Russian team posted a 21-19 rally in the third quarter and finished the game with 26-16 surge at the end. Vitaliy Fridzon (195-G-85, agency: Alti Sport) top-scored for the winners with 15 points and K.C. Rivers (196-G-87, college: Clemson) as well as Zoran Planinic (198-G-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 14 each. Petteri Koponen (194-PG-88) followed them with 12 points in a win. Earl Rowland (188-G-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) posted 20 points in the losing effort and Donatas Zavackas (203-F-80, college: Pittsburgh) scored 19.

Khimky surged ahead against VEF Riga following a comfortable home win in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Khimky. VEF Riga managed to win fourth quarter 29-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Khimky shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 65.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by VEF Riga's players. Sergey Monya (202-PF-83) fired 16 points and 4 assists for the winners.
