Poland celebrated 64-60 win against Latvia in the second game of the Qualifying Round in Tallinn. Thanks to this win Poland jumped to 4-0 record in Group F and already secured a spot for the Quarterfinals. Today, Poland will meet Slovenia in a game for first place in this pool. Latvia slipped to 2-2 after this loss, but still has a good chance to reach the next stage. They will have to beat Luxembourg today. Karolina Pobozy (188-F-96) was a key player in Poland with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Patrycja Klatt (171-G-96) scored 11 points and Jowita Ossowska (180-F/C-96) added 8. Kitija Laksa (180-G-96) answered with 22 points and 8 boards in defeat. Marta Bergmane (178-PG-96) scored 13 and Paula Luke (185-C-96) had 8 pts, plus 5 rebs. Poland was up by 12 during the last period, but Latvia came to minus 3 in the finish and missed twice from behind the arc after that. Klatt was sent to the line with 3 seconds remaining and he made the second attempt for the final score 64-60. Quarters: 18-21, 16-9, 18-9, 12-21. Today is the last day of the Qualifying Round in Tallinn.
