BK Barons Kvartals Riga (LBL) signed 24-year old Latvian international center Andrejs Selakovs (207-88, agency: Players Group). He played last season at CB Tarragona in Spanish LEB Silver. In 32 games last year he had 6.5ppg and 5.1rpg. The previous (10-11) season Selakovs played at VEF Riga. The team played in four different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 16 LBL games he recorded 6.1ppg and 5.1rpg. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. Selakovs also played 3 games in Eurocup where he recorded just 1.0ppg and 1.3rpg. He also played 8 games in Baltic League where he recorded only 2.3ppg and 3.3rpg. Selakovs also played 4 games in VTB United League where he recorded only 1.3ppg and 1.3rpg. He was selected to Latvian League All-Star Game in 2010. Selakovs has been also a member of Latvian international program for some years. He has played for Senior National Team since 2010 and previously for U20 National Team between 2007 and 2008. Selakovs represented Latvia at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 this year. His stats at that event were 7 games: 2.9ppg, 3.9rpg. Selakovs has played also professionally in Latvia (BK VEF-LSPA, ASK/Juniors, ASK Riga and BA Riga).

Armands Skele (192-G-83) wins the title in Estonia as his Kalev/Cramo became the Estonian champion for the third year in a row. In the fourth game Kalev/Cramo posted an 81:69 win for 4-0 in the series.

It was a great shooting night for Kalev/Cramo especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. 29 personal fouls committed by TU/Rock helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of U.S. Virgin Islands center Frank Elegar who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and Ty Abbott who added 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Kalev/Cramo players scored in double figures. Armands Skele added 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Ivan Nelyubov responded with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks and Rain Veideman scored 19 points.

Khimki celebrated the second straight win at the VTB League Quarterfinals. The Winner of Group A improved to 2-0 lead in the series after a 104:82 win in Game 2.

The Russian team posted a 21-19 rally in the third quarter and finished the game with 26-16 surge at the end. Vitaliy Fridzon (195-G-85, agency: Alti Sport) top-scored for the winners with 15 points and K.C. Rivers (196-G-87, college: Clemson) as well as Zoran Planinic (198-G-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 14 each. Petteri Koponen (194-PG-88) followed them with 12 points in a win. Earl Rowland (188-G-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) posted 20 points in the losing effort and Donatas Zavackas (203-F-80, college: Pittsburgh) scored 19.

Khimky surged ahead against VEF Riga following a comfortable home win in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Khimky. VEF Riga managed to win fourth quarter 29-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Khimky shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 65.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by VEF Riga's players. Sergey Monya (202-PF-83) fired 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Zoran Planinic (198-G-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. American forward Will Daniels (203-F-86, college: Rhode Island) produced 12 points and 8 rebounds and forward Kristaps Janicenoks (196-F-83) added 15 points respectively for lost side.
