   #1. This week's number one is an international center Zane Teilane-Tamane (200-83, agency: LBM Management, college: W.Illinois, currently plays in Euroleague). She led her Russian team Nadezhda Orenburg to a victory against the seventh-ranked Arras (0-6) 80-70 in the Euroleague in Wednesday night's game. Teilane-Tamane had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds in 27 minutes on the court. Nadezhda Orenburg (4-2) is placed second in group B. This year Teilane-Tamane averages: 8.5ppg, 8.2rpg, 2FGP: 56.1%(23-41) in the six games she played so far. She is currently a member of the Latvian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Ieva Kublina (193-82, college: Virginia Tech, currently plays in Hungary). Kublina was the major contributor in a UNI Gyor's victory against the closely-ranked PEAC-PECS (7-5) crushing them 87-62 in the Hungarian A Division last Sunday. She scored 18 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. HAT-AGRO UNI Gyor (9-2) is placed second in the A Division. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Kublina's first season with the team. Kublina is currently sixth on the league's list of best rebounders. She has very reliable stats this season: 10.4ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 48.5%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 86.2%. Kublina is in the roster of the Latvian senior national team.

   #3. The Latvian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Gunta Basko (181-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Siena, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB. She could not help Nantes Reze (6-5) in their last game. Despite Basko's very good performance Nantes Reze lost 55-66 on the road to the second-ranked Bourges. She was the top scorer with 16 points. Basko also added 5 rebounds in 27 minutes. It was Nantes Reze's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Basko's overall stats are: 9.9ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.6apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 52.8%, 3FGP: 22.7% and FT: 72.7% in the seven games. Former TTT Riga starter played for the Latvian national team one years ago.

   #4. Guard Elina Babkina (173-89, also represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Romania was not able to help CSM Targoviste (3-3) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite her good performance the fifth-placed CSM Targoviste was defeated 93-78 in Kosice by the higher-ranked Good Angels (#4) in the group B of Euroleague. Babkina recorded 13 points and added 5 assists. Babkina has relatively good stats this season: 10.8ppg, 1.3rpg, 4.0apg and 1.2spg. She used to play for the Latvian national team last year.

   #5. International guard Kristine Karklina (175-83, agency: Regeneracom Sports, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to secure a victory for Ceyhan Bld (4-3) in their game against Fenerbahce (7-0) in the Turkish TKBL, despite her very good performance last Sunday. Karklina was the top scorer with 16 points. She also added 3 assists in 24 minutes. But Ceyhan Bld lost 68-80 in Istanbul to the leading Fenerbahce. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Karklina's total stats are: 9.9ppg, 1.3rpg, 2.7apg and 1.7spg in the seven games. She plays currently for the Latvian national team.

   #6. Swingman Eva Pavlovska (176-89, currently plays in Sweden) led Udominate to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Jarfalla (1-8) 78-70 in the Swedish Damligan on Saturday night. Pavlovska was MVP of the game. She scored 23 points, grabbed 6 boards, passed 3 assists and added 3 steals. Udominate Basket Umea (6-3) is placed sixth in the Damligan. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Pavlovska is currently fifth on the list of best passers. This season she has very good stats: 11.9ppg, 5.6rpg, 3.2apg and 2.0spg. Pavlovska is a former U18 international player as she played for the Latvian team six years ago.

   #7. Former University international forward Dita Liepkalne (185-87, college: Hawaii, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Aros Leon (2-4) 71-53 in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) in Saturday night's game. She had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 10 rebounds in 27 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Liepkalne's third season in pro basketball. Thetrend Social Cortegada (6-0) is placed second in Group A. So far her team won all six games in the Regular Season. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Liepkalne has averaged so far 8.7ppg and 4.2rpg in the six games. She used to play for the Latvian university national team five years ago.

   #8. Center Anita Teilane (196-85, currently plays in Hungary) contributed to an easy victory against the league leader Atomeromu (8-2) crushing them 87-61 in the Hungarian A Division last Tuesday. Teilane recorded 6 points and blocked 3 blocks. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. UNIQA Euroleasing Sopron (13-0) is placed first in the A Division. So far her team won all thirteen games in the Regular Season. Teilane is currently fifth on the list of best blockers. She has averaged so far 4.3ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.1spg. Teilane used to play for the Latvian national team back in 2007.

   #9. International forward Ieva Veinberga (183-84, currently plays in Lithuania) contributed to Suduva's victory against the closely-ranked Ruta Siauliai (4-5) 73-66 in the Lithuanian LMKL on Saturday night. She scored 9 points and added 3 assists in 21 minutes. Suduva Marijampole (6-3) is placed second in the LMKL. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Veinberga has averaged so far 8.1ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.2spg in the nine games. She used to play for the Latvian national team last year.

   #10. Forward Sabine Dukate (174-93, currently plays in Lithuania) is a teammate of previously mentioned Ieva Veinberga and both played together in the last Lithuanian LMKL game. Dukate contributed to Suduva's victory against the closely-ranked Ruta Siauliai (4-5) 73-66. She scored 11 points and added 3 assists. Dukate has averaged so far 4.7ppg and 2.0rpg. She is U20 international player who is currently on the Latvian National Team roster.

   #11. Former U18 international center Ieva Kulite (191-88, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a Wildcats Wolfenbuettel's victory against the ninth-ranked Rhein Main Baskets 79-70 in the German DBBL last Sunday. Kulite recorded 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 28 minutes. This year Kulite has relatively solid stats: 10.8ppg and 7.9rpg in the nine games. She used to play for the Latvian U18 national team six years ago.

   #12. International power forward Aija Putnina (191-88, another player represented by Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Navarra Pamplona in their game against Argon Uni Girona in the Spanish LFB. Putnina scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Her team was crushed by 31 points 78-47. Putnina is ranked fourth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best rebounders (fourth place). She has individually a very good season with high stats. Putnina averages: 16.0ppg, 8.3rpg and 1.2spg. She is also in the roster of the Latvian national team.

   #13. International center Liga Surkusa (194-91, currently plays in Italy) helped Broni win their game against the 14th-ranked Virtus Cagliari 64-53 in the Italian A2 (12th division) in Saturday night's game. Surkusa recorded 9 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks in 37 minutes. Surkusa belongs to league's best rebounders (ranked #3) and also on the list of best blockers (second place). She has averaged so far 9.8ppg, 10.3rpg, 1.9bpg and 1.2spg in the 10 games. Surkusa is also Latvian national team player.

   #14. International guard Baiba Eglite (179-89, college: UTEP, currently plays in Czech Republic) couldn't help Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary in their game against USK Praha in the Czech Republic ZBL. She was the second best scorer with 9 points. Her team was crushed by 31 points 74-43. Eglite has averaged so far 5.6ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.1apg. She plays currently for the Latvian national team.

   #15. International power forward Liene Jansone (192-81, college: Siena, currently plays in Euroleague) couldn't help Tarsus Bld in their game against Wisla Can-Pak in the Euroleague. Jansone cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. She recorded only 2 points in 19 minutes. Her team was edged 74-73. Jansone has averaged so far 5.8ppg and 2.7rpg in the six games. She is also in the roster of the Latvian national team.

Tallina U. - Vega 1/Liepaja 65-64 Tallina Uni held off Vega 1/Liepaja to take 1-0 lead in the quarterfinal series. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-10. But Vega 1 won third quarter 22-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
