Viive Kai
Rebane
Estonian Viive Kai Rebane (182-F-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Eclex Tallinn and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 23-year old forward had a double-double of 26 points and fifteen rebounds, while her team beat TTT Riga (#3, 8-2) 75-69. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Eclex Tallinn to jump to the first place in the Latvian LSBL. Eclex Tallinn has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 10-1. Rebane turned to be Eclex Tallinn's top player in her first season with the team. Binghamton University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rebane is in league's top in points (9th best: 16.1ppg) and averages solid 2.4spg and 52.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Estonian forward Kerli Haas (180-F-90) of Rapla KK. Haas impressed basketball fans with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Rapla KK lost that game 58-66 to slightly higher-ranked LU (#10, 3-7). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Rapla KK keeps 11th position. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Rapla KK managed to get this year. Haas is a newcomer at Rapla KK and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.4ppg (#3). She also registered 7.1 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Estonian Trine Kasemagi (190-C-95) of Audentes SG/N. (#8). Kasemagi scored 24 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Kasemagi's great performance Audentes SG/N. lost 69-81 to slightly higher-ranked TTT Juniores (#6, 5-5). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Audentes SG/N. not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Kasemagi could try to bring Audentes SG/N.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Kasemagi has individually a great season in Latvia. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.9rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Renate Reine (180-G-94) of TTT Juniores - 27 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Sindija Kudule (162-G-97) of Kolibri/U-16 - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Egita Vinakmene (184-C-93) of LU - 22 points and 6 rebounds
7. Sabine Egle (179-F/C-91) of Liepajas - 12 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Ieva Krastina (174-G/F-90) of TTT Riga - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Pirgit Puu (168-G-88) of Tallina U. - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Paula Langina (180-F-94) of TTT Juniores - 15 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
