#1. This week's number one is an international forward Gunta Basko (181-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Siena, currently plays in France). She led Nantes Reze to a victory over the 11th-ranked Aix-en-Provence (5-9) 75-70 in the French LFB in Wednesday night's game.
Basko was MVP of the game. She had a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 11 rebounds. Basko also added 5 assists in 33 minutes on the court.
Nantes Reze Basket (8-6) is placed fifth in the LFB.
It's Basko's first season with the team.
She has relatively good stats this year: 10.7ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 59.6%(31-52), 3FGP: 18.8% and FT: 77.1% in the 10 games she played so far.

#2. Second place goes to former international shooting guard Anete Jekabsone-Zogota (177-83, currently plays in Euroleague). Jekabsone-Zogota contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Lupa Promotion (1-7) crushing them 101-70 in the Euroleague last Wednesday.
She scored 14 points.
UMMC Ekaterinburg (7-0) is placed first in group C.
So far her team won all seven games in the Regular Season.
This season Jekabsone-Zogota averages: 4.2ppg, 1.2rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 27.3%, 3FGP: 33.3%.

#3. The Latvian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Ieva Kublina (193-82, college: Virginia Tech, currently plays in Hungary). Kublina was the major contributor in a UNI Gyor's victory against the eighth-ranked Cegledi EKK (3-11) crushing them 115-57 in the Hungarian A Division on Saturday night.
She scored 16 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks in a mere 17 minutes.
HAT-AGRO UNI Gyor (11-3) is placed second in the A Division.
There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
This year Kublina has relatively solid stats: 11.7ppg, 6.2rpg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 50.6%, 3FGP: 42.1% and FT: 88.9% in the 13 games.

#4. Power forward Aija Putnina (191-88, also represented by Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Spain) was the main contributor in an Navarra Pamplona's victory against the closely-ranked Hondarribia-Irun (4-5) 56-49 in the Spanish LFB in Saturday night's game.
Putnina was the best player in that game. She recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds.
UNB Obenasa Navarra Pamplona (4-5) is placed fifth in the LFB.
They ended the series of five consecutive loses.
Putnina is currently fourth on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (third place).
She has individually a very good season with high stats. Putnina averages: 17.5ppg, 8.4rpg and 1.1spg.
She is also Latvian national team player.
#5. International center Zane Teilane-Tamane (200-83, agency: LBM Management, college: W.Illinois, currently plays in Russia), who plays in the Russian PBL could not help Nadezhda Orenburg (5-3) to beat UMMC Ekaterinburg (8-0).
Teilane-Tamane scored 5 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 20 minutes.
Nadezhda Orenburg was badly defeated 84-64 on the road by the leading UMMC Ekaterinburg.
This year Teilane-Tamane's overall stats are: 9.1ppg, 7.4rpg and 1.9apg in the eight games.
She plays currently for the Latvian national team.
#6. Forward Sabine Dukate (174-93, currently plays in Lithuania) contributed to a 3-point Suduva's victory against the closely-ranked Aistes-LSU (4-8) 70-67 in the Lithuanian LMKL on Saturday night.
Dukate was the top player that evening. She scored 17 points.
Suduva Marijampole (8-4) is placed third in the LMKL.
Dukate's total stats this season are: 7.8ppg and 2.4rpg.
She is U20 international player who is currently on the Latvian National Team roster.
#7. International guard Elina Babkina (173-89, another player represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Euroleague) was not able to help CSM Targoviste (3-5) in their game against Fenerbahce (5-2) in the Euroleague.
Babkina was the second best scorer with 9 points. She also added 3 assists in 22 minutes.
But the fifth-placed CSM Targoviste was crushed 89-60 in Istanbul by the higher-ranked (#3) Fenerbahce in the group B of Euroleague.
It was CSM Targoviste's third consecutive loss in a row.

Tarsus Bld (#7) lost 62-74 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) Rivas Ecopolis in the group A of Euroleague.
It was Tarsus Bld's third consecutive loss in a row.

Former international power forward Dace Brumermane (187-81, another player represented by Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LF2 (12th division) couldn't help Dunkerque (3-9) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Brumermane's very good performance Dunkerque was crushed 95-73 on their home court in Dunkerque by the higher-ranked LTB 29 (#4).
She was the top scorer with 19 points. Brumermane also added 4 rebounds.
Brumermane is ranked fourth on the list of the top scorers in the league.
This season she has very high stats. Brumermane averages: 15.4ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.1apg.

#12. International guard Kristine Karklina (175-83, agency: Regeneracom Sports, currently plays in Turkey) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Ceyhan Bld in their game against Tarsus Bld in the Turkish TKBL. Karklina cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones.
She scored only 3 points and added 3 assists in 21 minutes.

Tintos de Toro Caja Rural Zamora (LFB) landed 22-year old Latvian ex-international forward Linda Rubene (190-91). She just graduated from Indiana (NCAA). The last season Rubene also at Indiana University in Big Ten Conference in the NCAA. But in 24 games she averaged only 1.7ppg and 1.3rpg. As mentioned above she is just out of the college and it is her first season in pro basketball. Rubene was also a member of Latvian international program for some years. She played for Latvian Senior National Team in 2010 and previously for U18 National Team in 2009. Rubene represented Latvia at the European Championships U20 in Liepaja (Latvia) three years ago. Her team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 9 games: 0.9ppg. Rubene has played previously for 47.vsk and SK Riga.
