The Regular Season in LBL is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds.

Top ranked Valmiera (11-6) recorded its sixth loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Turiba (4-13) 85-73. The game was mostly controlled by Turiba. Valmiera managed to win third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was forward Matiss Rudmiezis (190-91) who scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Karlis Apsitis (200-92) chipped in 16 points. Turiba's coach Arnis Vecvagars used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Janis Berzins (202-93, agency: Players Group) produced 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the hosts. Turiba maintains tenth position with 4-13 record. Valmiera lost third consecutive game. They still keep top place with six games lost. Turiba are looking forward to face bottom-ranked U18 (#11) in Riga in the next round. Valmiera will have a break next round.

American forward Tyler Cain (203-88, college: S.Dakota) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Salvis Metra contributed with 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Center Roberts Mednis (204-89) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds for Jurmala. Jurmala's coach Jevgenijs Kosuskins rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Barons kvartals maintains fifth position with 9-7 record.
