Estonian center Trine Kasemagi (190-C-95) put on an amazing game in the last round for Audentes SG/N., receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17. The 17-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 20 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Tartu U. (#12, 0-13) with 39-point margin 103-64. Audentes SG/N. maintains the 8th position in Latvian LSBL. Audentes SG/N. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-8 record. Kasemagi turned to be Audentes SG/N.'s top player in her first season with the team. Trine Kasemagi has solid league stats. She leads league in rebounds with 11.5rpg. Kasemagi is in league's top in and averages impressive 1.4bpg.
The second best player in last round's games was 28-year old Laura Audere (178-F-84) of RTU-Merks. Audere had a very good evening with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she lead RTU-Merks to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Audentes SG/N. (#8, 6-8) 83-58. This victory allowed RTU-Merks to move up to 4th position in the standings. Her team's 10-5 record is not bad at all. Audere is well-known at RTU-Merks and is a proven leader in her second season with the team. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#5). Her other stats are also decent: 9.2rpg and 3.1apg.
Third on the list of top players last round was another Audentes SG/N.'s star - Estonian center Susanna Koert (195-C-96). Koert showcased her all-around game by recording 14 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. She was another key player of Audentes SG/N., helping her team with a 103-64 easy win against Tartu U. (#12, 0-13). The chances of Audentes SG/N. ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Koert could help Audentes SG/N. to bring them higher in the standings. Koert has a very solid season. In 4 games in Latvia she scored 3.5ppg.
Other top performing players last week: 4. Joncelyn Peterkin (187-C-89) of Liepajas - 13 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists 5.
