The Baltic State suffred two losses in the latest two games at the International Tournament for U16 teams. In Day 3 Serbia U16 overcame Latvia U16 74:52. Serbian U16 National team made third consecutive win on tournament in Sakarya. Same as on previous game coach Mijatovic use all 12 players, but top scorer in Serbian team again was Milos Glisic (200-PF-98) with 29 scored points, 12 boards, 2 assists. Vanja Marinkovic scored 10 points, Stefan Peno (193-SG-97) scored 9 points, 7 boards and 5 assists. The most efficient player in Latvian team was Raimo who scored 10 points.
In Day 4 France U16 edged Latvia U16 69:67. It was a real European battle in the court. Latvia won the first period 15-14 and led 1 point at the halftime. Moreover the Baltic side added 22-20 in the third period, but could not seal the victory. France replied with 19-14 surge in the last stanza and won the game. Gombauld Stephane collected 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Loubaki Luc had 17. Renars Birkans (180-PG-97) answered with 17 points in defeat, whilst Arturs Strautins (192-G-98) and Zigmars Raimo (190-PF-97) delivered 15 points each.

Ourense Termal (LEB Gold) added to their roster 20-year old Latvian forward Verners Kohs (203-74kg-97) on loan from Obradoiro. The last season Kohs played at GBA Sparta in Czech Republic 1Liga where in 21 games he recorded 13.0ppg and 4.3rpg. He was voted All-Adidas Eurocamp in Treviso (Italy) 1st Team in 2017. Roberts Stumbris joins Nevezis - 11 hours ago
Nevezis Kedainiai (LKL) added to their roster 24-year old Latvian small forward Roberts Stumbris (199-98kg-93). He played last season at BK Jekabpils in Latvian LBL league. In 32 games he had 14.1ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.5apg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Latvian League Honorable Mention and to the All-Star Game. Damier Pitts (ex Valmiera) signs at Kataja Basket - 12 hours ago
Defending champion Joensuun Kataja Basket (Korisliiga) landed 28-year old American point guard Damier Pitts (177-80kg-89, college: Marshall, agency: Inception Sports). He played most recently at Valmiera/ORDO in Latvian LBL league. In 38 games he averaged 14.9ppg, 2.8rpg, 5.7apg and 1.5spg last season. Pitts helped them to make it to the semifinals.
