It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Jelgava's pressure prevailed and they won that period 32-21 extending their advantage to 16 points. They made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Edgars Krumins (194-86) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Kalvis Krumins (185-90) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Jelgava's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Davis Klegeris (184-97) produced 20 points and Adrians Snipke (192-0) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 18-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Four Ogre/Kumho Tyre and five Gulbenes Buki players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Limbazi - RTU 85-86

It looked good early as Limbazi took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then RTU had a 24-18 second period charge getting the lead and Limbazi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 85-86. RTU players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Guard Eduards Grabovskis (188-94) scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Lauris Berzins (192-97) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Forward Rolands Brencs (198-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Armands Osins (190-91) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Limbazi's coach Andis Cirulis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

The game was mostly controlled by ViA. Ventspils Augstskola was better in third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ViA dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Ventspils Augstskola's 22. They outrebounded Ventspils Augstskola 44-33 including a 22-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. ViA players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Ventspils Augstskola helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Oto Grinbergs (195-90) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Janis Engers (200-95) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Kristaps Purplevics (181-98) produced 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Belarusian power forward Denis Vikentsyeu (203-98) added 14 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Five ViA and four Ventspils Augstskola players scored in double figures. Ventspils Augstskola's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.

Power forward Juris Kalnins (200-93) notched 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and guard Matiss Caune (186-93) supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Livani players scored in double figures. Livani's coach Edgars Cimars used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by Rihards Ginters (192-93) did not help to save the game for RSU. Center Kristaps Jurjans (202-88) added 17 points for the hosts.

Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by DSN/SB's players. The best player for the winners was Emils Caune (198-96) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Roberts Ikaunieks (195-97) chipped in 18 points. Turiba's coach Ziedonis Jansons felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
