There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in LKL.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated LSU-Baltai (0-1) in Kedainiai on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by top-ranked Nevezis (1-0) 77-60. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Nevezis. LSU-Baltai managed to win fourth quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nevezis dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to LSU-Baltai's 24. Point guard Paulius Semaska (184-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Mindaugas Girdziunas (188-89) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Nevezis' coach Darius Sirtautas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Mindaugas Stasys (180-86) replied with 19 points for LSU-Baltai. Nevezis left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. LSU-Baltai at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Lietkabelis. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game between bottom-ranked Sakalai (0-2) and top-ranked Lietuvos rytas (2-0) in Vilnius ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Vilnius outscored Sakalai 76-42. Croatian center Leon Radosevic (206-90) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Predrag Samardziski chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Center Petras Balocka (205-86, college: Hawaii) responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lietuvos rytas maintains first position with 2-0 record. Sakalai at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Neptunas and Naglis Palangos. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

In the last two games of round 2 winless Neptunas lost to undefeated Juventus on the road 88-93. Rudupis destroyed Naglis Palangos on its own court 110-81.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 25 points and 6 rebounds by Paulius Morkeliunas of Juventus.

Sakalai - Lietuvos rytas 42-76

The game between bottom-ranked Sakalai (0-2) and top-ranked Lietuvos rytas (2-0) in Vilnius ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Vilnius outscored Sakalai 76-42. The game without a history. Lietuvos rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sakalai to just 6 points in second quarter. Lietuvos rytas held Sakalai to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Lietuvos rytas forced 22 Sakalai turnovers. Sakalai was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Croatian center Leon Radosevic (206-90) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and FYR Macedonian center Predrag Samardziski (215-86, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Center Petras Balocka (205-86, college: Hawaii) responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Tomas Cerneckis (190-88) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds.

Juventus - Neptunas 93-88

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Juventus (1-0) beat bottom-ranked Neptunas (0-2) in Utena 93-88. Neptunas was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 29-20 charge of Juventus, which allowed them to win the game. Neptunas was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Paulius Morkeliunas (201-85, college: LIU Brooklyn) scored 25 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Nerijus Varnelis (201-78) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Russian forward Nikita Barinov (202-91) responded with 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and international forward Deividas Gailius (200-88) scored 18 points. Neptunas' coach Kazys Maksvytis tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Juventus left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Neptunas at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Sakalai and Naglis Palangos. Juventus will play against Zalgiris (#7) in Kaunas in the next round where they are favorite. Rudupis - Naglis Palangos 110-81

Rather expected game when bottom-ranked Naglis Palangos (0-2) was smashed by top-ranked Rudupis (1-0) in Prienai 110-81. The game without a history. Rudupis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 64.2 percent from the field and made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Rudupis had a 26-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Swingman Gediminas Orelikas (198-90) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Arnas Labuckas (205-87) chipped in 17 points during the contest. American forward Marcus Relphorde (200-88, college: Colorado) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and guard Mantas Mockevicius (189-93, college: Olney Central CC) scored 16 points. Five Rudupis and four Naglis Palangos players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rudupis left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Naglis Palangos at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Neptunas and Sakalai. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
