Bottom-ranked Naglis Palangos (0-6) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to seventh ranked Lietkabelis (2-2) 82-68 on Tuesday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Lietkabelis. Naglis Palangos managed to win second period 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Naglis Palangos to just 6 points in first quarter. Lietkabelis dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Naglis Palangos' 36. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian center Kaspars Cipruss (210-82) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Arnas Butkevicius (196-92) who added 17 points during the contest. Lietkabelis' coach Gintaras Leonavicius used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Parrish Brown (185-84, college: Maryland, agency: Hightower Law Firm) responded with 20 points and 6 assists. Lietkabelis moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Pieno Zvaigzdes. Naglis Palangos at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Lietkabelis is looking forward to face league's leader Rudupis in Prienai in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Naglis Palangos will play at home against Nevezis (#8) in Kedainiai and hopes to get finally their first victory.
11th ranked Nevezis (1-4) was outscored at home by top-ranked Lietuvos rytas (3-0) with the biggest margin this round 102-80. The winners were led by international Deividas Dulkys (198-88, college: Florida St.) who scored that evening 19 points and 4 steals and Nemanja Nedovic supported him with 17 points. Lietuvos rytas' coach Darius Maskoliunas felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 19 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) by guard Mindaugas Girdziunas (188-89) did not help to save the game for Nevezis. Lietuvos rytas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Siauliai. Nevezis lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with LSU-Baltai. Lietuvos rytas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nevezis will play on the road against Naglis Palangos (#12) in Palanga to get more than just one victory in their record.

The winners were led by guard Martynas Mazeika (191-85, agency: Interperformances) who scored that evening 23 points and 4 steals and center Vytautas Sarakauskas (204-82) supported him with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Neptunas players scored in double figures. Even 24 points and 4 assists by point guard Taurantas Tamosiunas (192-92) did not help to save the game for LSU-Baltai. Forward Vidmantas Sragauskis (200-86) added 17 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
