#1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Martynas Pocius (196-86, agency: Interperformances, college: Duke, currently plays in Spain). He was the major contributor in a Real Madrid's victory against the closely-ranked Gescrap BB (5-2) 98-84 in the Spanish ACB in Sunday night's game.
Pocius recorded 18 points in a mere 18 minutes on the court.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Real Madrid (7-0) is placed first in the ACB.
So far his team won all seven games in the Regular Season.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
This year Pocius averages: 7.9ppg, 1.7rpg, 3FGP: 62.5%(10-16) and FT: 87.5% in the seven games he played so far.
He is currently a member of the Lithuanian senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international small forward Linas Kleiza (203-85, college: Missouri, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. Kleiza could not help the Toronto Raptors (2-6) in their last game on Monday. Despite his very good performance the Toronto Raptors were defeated in a triple overtime (!!!) 140-133 on the road by the Utah Jazz.
Kleiza scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
Kleiza has relatively good stats this year: 10.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 2FGP: 35.3%, 3FGP: 33.3%.
He is in the roster of the Lithuanian senior national team.
#3. The Lithuanian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Mantas Kalnietis (195-86, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Russia). Kalnietis led Lokomotiv to an easy victory against the league leader Enisey Krasnoyarsk crushing them 93-64 in the Russian PBL on Sunday night.
He had a double-double by scoring 13 points and making 11 passes. Kalnietis also added 4 rebounds in 28 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Lokomotiv Kuban (3-3) is placed second in the PBL.
Kalnietis is ranked sixth on the list of the best passers in the league with 3.0apg.
This year his other stats are: 6.4ppg, 3.0rpg, 2FGP: 44.0%, 3FGP: 23.1% and FT: 14.3% in the five games.
Kalnietis is also a member of the Lithuanian senior national team.
#4. Forward Donatas Zavackas (203-80, college: Pittsburgh, currently plays in VTB United League) led his Latvian team VEF Riga to a victory over the leader Zalgiris (4-1) 77-72 in the VTB United League in Sunday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Zavackas scored 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
VEF Riga (3-2) is placed third in group B.
But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen.
Zavackas' overall stats this season are: 8.6ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.4apg.
He used to play for the Lithuanian U20 national team
back in 2000.
#5. International small forward Simas Jasaitis (202-82, currently plays in Eurocup) is a teammate of previously mentioned Mantas Kalnietis. But that was another game of his team in Eurocup which we would like to mention.
Jasaitis contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Trefl Sopot (0-2) crushing them 99-79.
He scored 14 points in 28 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Lokomotiv Kuban (2-0) is placed second in the Eurocup.
It's Jasaitis' first season with the team.
This year Jasaitis has relatively solid stats: 13.5ppg and 3.5rpg in the two games.
He plays currently for the Lithuanian national team.
#6. Center Jonas Valanciunas (211-92, currently plays in NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Linas Kleiza. However that was another game of his team in NBA which brought him to that list.
Valanciunas contributed to a 2-point Toronto Raptors' victory against the Indiana Pacers (3-6) 74-72.
He scored 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
The Toronto Raptors have not so impressive 2-6 record this season.
They ended the series of four consecutive loses.
Valanciunas has reliable stats this year: 8.4ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.1apg.
He is an international player who is currently on the senior Lithuanian National Team roster.
#7. An experienced former international forward Dainius Salenga (197-77, currently plays in Ukraine) contributed to Budivelnyk's victory against the 11th-ranked Mykolaiv (4-8) 79-70 in the Ukrainian Superleague in Sunday night's game.
Salenga scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 24 minutes.
Budivelnyk Kyiv (10-3) is placed first in the Superleague.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
This year Salenga's overall stats are: 9.1ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.1apg and 1.3spg in the 13 games.

#8. Swingman Jonas Maciulis (199-85, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to Panathinaikos' victory against the second-ranked Real Madrid (4-2) 79-68 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game.
He scored 12 points.
Panathinaikos Athens (3-3) is placed fourth in group A.
There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Maciulis averaged so far 11.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.7apg and 1.2spg.
He plays currently for the Lithuanian national team.
#9. Former University international center Egidijus Dimsa (205-85, currently plays in EuroChallenge), who plays in Estonia was not able to help TU/Rock (0-2) in their last game. Despite Dimsa's very good performance the third-placed TU/Rock was edged 70-68 at home by the leading Gaz Metan in the group D of EuroChallenge.
He was the top scorer with 15 points. Dimsa also added 4 rebounds in 28 minutes.
There are only four games left until the end of the EuroChallenge Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
Dimsa's stats this year are: 11.5ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.5spg in the two games.

#10. Center Michailis Anisimovas (214-84, currently plays in Eurocup) is a teammate of previously mentioned Dainius Salenga. But that was another game of his team in Eurocup we would like to talk about.
Anisimovas contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Rudupis (1-1) crushing them 84-57.
He scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Budivelnyk Kyiv (1-1) is placed second in the Eurocup.
Anisimovas is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Budivelnyk's roster.
Anisimovas' total stats this season are: 9.0ppg and 4.0rpg.
He is a former university international player as five years ago he still played for the Lithuanian national team.
#11. Former U20 international guard Mantas Cesnauskis (191-81, currently plays in Eurocup) contributed to a Stelmet ZG's victory against the closely-ranked Panionios 76-70 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game.
Cesnauskis scored 8 points, grabbed 4 boards, dished 4 assists and stole 3 balls in 25 minutes.
This year his total stats are: 6.5ppg, 2.0rpg, 3.5apg and 1.5spg in the two games.

Kavaliauskas helped his Latvian team VEF Riga win their game against the leader Zalgiris 77-72.
He scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Kavaliauskas averaged so far 11.0ppg and 5.8rpg.
He is also in the roster of the Lithuanian national team.
#13. U20 international shooting guard Vytenis Cizauskas (190-92, currently plays in Spain) helped Blancos de Rueda win their n overtime game against the closely-ranked FIATC Joventut 89-84 in the Spanish ACB on Saturday night.
Cizauskas recorded 11 points in 25 minutes.
He has averaged so far 4.0ppg, 1.2rpg and 1.2apg in the five games.
Cizauskas is also Lithuanian U20 national team player.
#14. Former U20 international point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88, currently plays in Czech Republic) was the main contributor in a BK Pardubice's victory against the tenth-ranked Levharti Chomutov 80-76 in the Czech Republic NBL last Tuesday.
He was the best player in that game. Zabas scored 21 points in 23 minutes.
Zabas is currently third on the list of top scorers with 18.4ppg.
This year he also averages: 3.0rpg and 2.8apg in the eight games.
Zabas used to play for the Lithuanian U20 national team
back in 2008.
#15. Former international power forward Tautvydas Lydeka (208-83, currently plays in VTB United League) managed to help Krasnie Krilya Samara in a victory against the seventh-ranked BC Donetsk 64-59 in the VTB United League in Saturday night's game.
He scored only 4 points in 15 minutes.
Lydeka has averaged so far 8.8ppg and 2.8rpg in the five games.
He used to play for the Lithuanian national team

Young scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Generali Okapi Aalstar (5-1) is placed first in the Ethias League.
But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go.
Young is currently sixth on the league's list of best rebounders and also on the list of best blockers (fourth place).
His total stats this season are: 6.0ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.2bpg.
Young is a naturalized American.
Strangely he has never played in Lithuania.
#2.Benas Veikalas (192-G-83, college: Metro St., currently plays in Germany) led Telekom Baskets to a victory against the league leader ratiopharm Ulm (7-2) 107-103 in the German BBL on Saturday night.
Veikalas scored 16 points in 31 minutes.
Telekom Baskets Bonn (4-3) is placed ninth in the BBL.
This year Veikalas' total stats are: 8.1ppg and 2.0rpg in the seven games he played so far.
#3.Arturas Masiulis (210-C-80, currently plays in United Kingdom) led Worcester Wolves to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Cheshire Jets (2-6) 97-84 in the British BBL in Saturday night's game.
He was the best player in that game. Masiulis recorded 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
Worcester Wolves (6-5) is placed fourth in the BBL.
Masiulis averaged so far 11.9ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.6apg.
#4.Gabas Maldunas (203-F-93, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to Dartmouth's victory against the University of Maine 67-54 in the NCAA on Saturday night.
He scored 25 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and made 2 blocks.

He has a dual citizenship: Canadian and Lithuanian.
Despite Stauskas' Lithuanian passport, he currently plays for the Canadian U19 national team and is not eligible to play for the Lithuanian team.
#8.Nerijus Brasas (200-F-85, currently plays in Denmark) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Horsholm 97-78 in the Danish Ligaen in Saturday night's game.
Brasas recorded 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
Brasas has averaged so far 8.1ppg and 4.6rpg.
#9.Gintaras Leonavicius (194-G-83, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) could not help Leche Rio Breogan to beat Meridiano Alicante.

Kasiulevicius attended Trinity Valley CC until 2004 and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season in pro basketball.

He had the game-high 32 points adding two rebounds and seven assists for Lietuvos rytas in his team's victory, helping them to crush Nevezis (#7, 0-1) with 19-point margin 89-70. Second best performed player last round was Mindaugas Lukauskis (198-G-79) of Lietkabelis. He is former international guard in his first season at Lietkabelis. In the last game Lukauskis recorded impressive 13 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists. It was enough for Lietkabelis to edge Zalgiris (0-1) by 4 points 90-86. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Gytis Sirutavicius (195-F-83) of Juventus. Sirutavicius showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, six rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Juventus, leading his team to a 97-92 win against P.Zvaigzdes (#8, 0-1). Juventus has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Sirutavicius also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Sirutavicius as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
