The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Suduva-Mantinga as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Suduva-Mantinga defeated second-ranked Statyba in Marijampole 83-67. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Suduva-Mantinga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Suduva-Mantinga made 7 blocks. Guard Zilvinas Kuklierius (180-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Audrius Mineikis (201-77) contributed with 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Suduva-Mantinga's coach Gintautas Zibuda used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Vitalijus Luksa (206-86) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds for Statyba. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Mazeikiai and Statyba. Statyba will play next round against Delikatesas trying to get back on the winning streak. Suduva-Mantinga will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Zalgiris-Sabonio in Kaunas.
Leading Mazeikiai (8-3) recorded its third loss at the home court. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Dzukija (7-3) 88-86. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Mazeikiai. It was a great evening for forward Povilas Sakinis (199-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds. Mindaugas Reminas helped adding 23 points. Forward Osvaldas Macernis (196-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Newly promoted Dzukija maintains fifth place with 7-3 record. Mazeikiai will play against Zanavykas (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Jonava between Triobet and Olimpas. Ninth ranked Triobet (6-5) got a very close home victory over 7th ranked Olimpas (6-5).
