There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team and favorites losing the games.
The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Lietuvos rytas (3-1) in Vilnius on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by leader Zalgiris (4-0) 90-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lietuvos rytas. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 47-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Zalgiris shot 61.5 percent from the field and made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Lietuvos rytas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Gediminas Orelikas (200-G/F-90) will continue his career in Lietuvos Rytas. The forward has agreed on terms of two-year contract with the Vilnius powerhouse. Gediminas Orelikas has played for Rudupis Prienai since 2010. Last season the forward led LKL in scoring posting 16.8 points per game.
