The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 15 in the LKL took place in Utena. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Siauliai (5-4) to eighth ranked Juventus (5-5) 86-83 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 21-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Juventus made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Siauliai helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Darrick Leonard (190-84, college: Aurora) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Laimonas Kisielius (203-85, college: William & Mary) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Saulius Kuzminskas (210-82, college: California) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Juventus moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Lietkabelis and Nevezis. Siauliai at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Juventus is looking forward to face league's second-placed Neptunas in Klaipeda in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Siauliai will play on the road against Lietkabelis in Panevezys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kedainiai. Second ranked Neptunas faced 4th placed Nevezis. Guests from Klaipeda (7-3) defeated host Nevezis (5-5) 74-67. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Nevezis. It was a good game for international forward Deividas Gailius (200-88) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Laurynas Mikalauskas contributed with 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Vytenis Jasikevicius (187-85) answered with 22 points for Nevezis. Neptunas have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 7-3 record having just three points less than leader Rudupis. Nevezis at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Lietkabelis and Juventus. Neptunas will play against Juventus (#7) in Utena in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nevezis will play on the road against LSU-Baltai in Kaunas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game was played in Panevezys where Lietuvos rytas (#7) rolled over host Lietkabelis (#4) with 48-point difference 114-66 on Thursday evening. It was a great evening for Leon Radosevic who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Tauras Jogela with 18 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Lietuvos rytas went down to eighth position due to points difference. Loser Lietkabelis dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Nevezis and Juventus. Lietuvos rytas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lietkabelis will play against Siauliai (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Undefeated leader Rudupis delivered the tenth consecutive victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Lietuvos rytas (4-2) 82-76 in Prienai. It was a quality performance for Gediminas Orelikas who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Lietuvos rytas' coach Darius Maskoliunas rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Rudupis. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Lietuvos rytas at the other side dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Rudupis' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Naglis Palangos (#12) in Palanga which should be an easy win for them.
Bottom-ranked Naglis Palangos (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 82-62 loss to eleventh ranked Sakalai (3-7) in Vilnius on Friday evening. The best player for the winners was Paulius Dambrauskas who scored 19 points. Sakalai's coach Romualdas Petronis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sakalai moved-up to tenth place. Naglis Palangos lost their tenth game in a row. They still closes the standings with ten games lost. Sakalai will face higher ranked Pieno Zvaigzdes (#9) in Pasvalys in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Naglis Palangos will play at home against the league's leader Rudupis where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

In the last two games of round 15 Zalgiris crushed LSU-Baltai in Kaunas 121-71. Pieno Zvaigzdes smashed LSU-Baltai at home 97-70.
The best stats of 15th round was 25 points and 6 rebounds by Mindaugas Kuzminskas of Zalgiris.
