Dzukija Alytus (NKL) inked 26-year old point guard Zydrunas Kelys (188-70kg-87). He played recently at Perlas-MRU Vilnius (NKL). In 24 games this season he recorded 13.5ppg, 2.2rpg, 4.6apg and 2.8spg. The last season Kelys played at Pieno Zvaigzdes (LKL). In 23 games last year he averaged 5.3ppg, 1.4rpg, 3.2apg and 1.2spg. He helped them to make it to the cup final. Kelys also played 17 games in Baltic League where he averaged 7.1ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.4apg. The previous (10-11) season he played at Perlas (LKL). In 10 games that season he averaged 5.6ppg, 1.0rpg and 2.3apg. Kelys also played 6 games in Baltic League where he averaged 4.3ppg, 1.2rpg, 2.5apg and 1.2spg. He also played at Lietuvos rytas (LKL) earlier that season. But in only one game that year he did not score anything and had only 1 rebound and 1 assist. Among other achievements Kelys received Eurobasket.com All-Baltic League (Challenge Cup) Guard of the Year award back in 2010. He represented Lithuania at the World University Games in Belgrade (Serbia) four years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 4.9ppg, 2.4rpg, 3.4apg, 2.0spg. Kelys has played previously professionally in Russia (Standart Samara reg. Toliatti and Standart-2 Toliatti) and Lithuania (Suduva, Nevezis and Buratina).

Nizhny Novgorod prolong the series against Zalgiris after a thrilling win in Russia. The hosts grabbed a 60:59 win on Saturday and will need another win to head back to Lithuania. Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow in Nizhny Novgorod.

Vidas Ginevicius (194-G-78, agency: Interperformances) wins the title in Belarus as his Tsmoki-Minsk became the Champions of the country! The defending champions swept the Finals series against Grodno-93 3-0 adding 74:66 road win.

Gediminas Orelikas (200-G/F-90) will continue his career in Lietuvos Rytas. The forward has agreed on terms of two-year contract with the Vilnius powerhouse. Gediminas Orelikas has played for Rudupis Prienai since 2010. Last season the forward led LKL in scoring posting 16.8 points per game.
