The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Kibirkstis-Tiche (16-3) in Vilnius on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Utena (4-15) 69-65. The guests trailed by 10 points at the halftime before their 37-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Kibirkstis-Tiche outrebounded Utena 44-31 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for point guard Rita Milieskiene (175-78) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian center Ana Radovic (190-90, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side international guard Greta Sniokaite (180-91) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Utena maintains seventh place with 4-15 record. Kibirkstis-Tiche at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Utena are looking forward to face league's second-placed Sirenos in Kaunas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kibirkstis-Tiche will play on the road against Aistes-LSU in Kaunas and is hoping to win this game. Fifth-ranked Aistes-LSU (8-11) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Suduva (13-6) in Marijampole. Suduva managed to secure only three-point victory 70-67. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aistes-LSU. The hosts narrowed the deficit and trailed by just 10 points heading into the fourth stanza. The hosts used a 10:3 rally midway through the final frame to narrow the deficit at 2-point mark 57:59. Currie and Marta Xargay Casademont put Avenida within one with just over a minute remaining 62:63. Olexandra Kurasova drained a triple to give Rivas Ecopolis space for manoeuvre. However Salciute responded with a treble of her own to bring Avenida within one again 65:66. The teams exchanged misses before Le'Coe Willingham got fouled with just two seconds remaining. Egle Sulciute joined Perfumerias Avenida Salamanca (Spain-LFB, starting five) in the beginning of the season. In Euroleague her stats read 10.4ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.7apg, FGP: 49.3%, 3PT: 36.2%, FT-1. In Spanish League her stats read 8.4 points per game.
