The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets.

NKL top team - Mazeikiai (24-6) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Radviliskis (11-18) 84-61. It was a good game for Belarusian center Aleh Kojenets (208-77, college: NC-Wilmington) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Osvaldas Macernis (196-82) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Vitalis Pancerevas (185-87, college: Weatherford JC) replied with 12 points for Radviliskis. Mazeikiai have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-6 record. Radviliskis at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with 18 games lost. Mazeikiai are looking forward to face Birstono (#13) in Kaunas in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Radviliskis will play on the road against Meresta in Pakruojis and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
Eleventh-ranked Perlas-MRU (13-17) was very close to win a game against seventh ranked Statyba (19-11) in Vilnius. Statyba managed to secure only one-point victory 99-98. However their fans expected much easier game. Point guard Ovidijus Varanauskas (187-91) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and Karolis Brusokas chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Mantas Virbalas (203-88) with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Statyba have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Triobet and Zanavykas. Perlas-MRU at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Statyba will play against league's second-placed Olimpas in Plunge in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Perlas-MRU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Vilnius S.Marciulionio.
Eighteenth-ranked Nafta Universitetas (5-25) used its home court advantage to challenge fifteenth ranked Ezerunas-Karys (10-20) in Klaipeda on Saturday. The visitors from Moletai managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected easier game. Raimundas Ambrulaitis notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort. Ezerunas-Karys' coach Mindaugas Kildisius used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by Donatas Norkus did not help to save the game for Nafta Universitetas. Ezerunas-Karys maintains fifteenth position with 10-20 record. Nafta Universitetas lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. Ezerunas-Karys will meet at home higher ranked Suduva-Mantinga (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Nafta Universitetas will play against Silute (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 30: Triobet beat S.Marciulionio on the road 88-77. Zalgiris-Sabonio won against Meresta on its own court 89-79. Silute unfortunately lost to Zanavykas in Sakiai 80-98. Suduva-Mantinga managed to beat Delikatesas at home 82-77. Olimpas defeated Birstono on the opponent's court 73-68.
The most impressive performance of 30th round was 29 points and 15 rebounds by Arturas Gudaitis of Zalgiris-Sabonio.

S.Marciulionio - Triobet 77-88

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Triobet (19-11) beat 9th ranked S.Marciulionio (16-15) in Vilnius 88-77 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-77. Strangely S.Marciulionio outrebounded Triobet 44-32 including 20 on the offensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Triobet especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) notched 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85) supported him with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Triobet's coach Kestutis Narusevicius used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) by power forward Giedrius Staniulis (205-91) did not help to save the game for S.Marciulionio. Forward Evaldas Baniulis (201-87, college: S.Carolina) added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Triobet moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Statyba and Zanavykas. S.Marciulionio lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 15 games lost. Triobet will meet at home Delikatesas (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rather expected game when 10th ranked Meresta (15-15) lost to eighth ranked Zalgiris-Sabonio (18-12) in Kaunas 79-89 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Zalgiris-Sabonio.
