There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in NKL. There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.

Top ranked Mazeikiai (25-7) recorded its seventh loss in Joniskis on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by thirteenth ranked Delikatesas (13-19) 88-87. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Mazeikiai. Delikatesas forced 19 Mazeikiai turnovers. The best player for the winners was swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) who scored 24 points. Forward Mindaugas Keras (200-85) chipped in 12 points and 15 rebounds. Rokas Giedraitis (198-92) produced 25 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Delikatesas maintains thirteenth position with 13-19 record. Mazeikiai at the other side still keeps top place with seven games lost. Delikatesas are looking forward to face higher ranked Meresta (#10) in Pakruojis in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mazeikiai will play on the road against Ezerunas-Karys (#15) in Moletai and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Marijampole. Fifth ranked Triobet (21-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Suduva-Mantinga (21-11) 78-75 in the game for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Suduva-Mantinga. Forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Tadas Sebeziovas contributed with 18 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Forward Marius Valukonis (198-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for Suduva-Mantinga. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Triobet have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Suduva-Mantinga. Triobet will play against Birstono (#14) in Kaunas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Suduva-Mantinga will play on the road against Perlas-MRU (#11) in Vilnius and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Sakiai was also quite interesting. Third ranked Olimpas (23-9) played at the court of 6th ranked Zanavykas (19-13). Olimpas managed to secure a 5-point victory 93-88 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Audrius Maneikis who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Edgaras Stanionis responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Newly promoted Olimpas maintains third position with 23-9 record having just two points less than leader Mazeikiai. Zanavykas at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth place with 13 games lost. Olimpas will meet bottom-ranked Nafta Universitetas (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zanavykas will play against Statyba (#6) in Vilnius and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Sixteenth-ranked Silute (10-22) made lots of trouble for eighth ranked Zalgiris-Sabonio (20-12) in Kaunas. Zalgiris-Sabonio managed to secure only two-point victory 93-91. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by Marius Grigonis who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Zalgiris-Sabonio have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Statyba. Silute at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. Zalgiris-Sabonio's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Dzukija in Alytus and it may be quite challenging game. Silute will play at home against Radviliskis (#12).
The game with biggest result difference took place in Klaipeda. Local Nafta Universitetas (5-27) was outscored by eleventh ranked Perlas-MRU (14-18) 111-83 on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was Antanas Udras who scored 26 points and 8 rebounds. Nafta Universitetas lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 27 lost games. Perlas-MRU will face higher ranked Suduva-Mantinga (#4) in Marijampole in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Nafta Universitetas will play at home against Olimpas (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
