Suduva-Mantinga - Zalgiris II 90-68

Suduva-Mantinga rallied past Zalgiris II to sweep the series. It looked good early as Zalgiris II took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Suduva-Mantinga had a 26-16 second period charge getting the lead and Zalgiris II was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-90. Suduva-Mantinga forced 20 Zalgiris II turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a quality performance for the former international Aurimas Kieza (199-82, college: Hofstra) who led the winners and scored 25 points. Guard Dominykas Domarkas (190-92) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Suduva-Mantinga's coach Marius Kiltinavicius felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Laurynas Birutis (213-97) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Gytis Masiulis (206-98) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Zalgiris II in the defeat.

Nafta-Uni outgunned visiting Silute to take 2-1 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Nafta-Uni.. Silute managed to win third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Silute 42-23 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nafta-Uni. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Viktoras Chodosovskis (200-89) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Point guard Deividas Anuzis (182-92) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Nafta-Uni. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Brian Wanamaker (185-89, college: Texas Wesleyan) who recorded 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Gvidas Galinauskas (203-97) added 14 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Vytis surprised Telsiai on the road to surge ahead in the series. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-9. But Telsiai won second period 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vytis looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Paulius Beliavicius (194-88) helped adding 11 points and 10 assists. The best for the losing side was point guard Ignas Razutis (185-87) with 12 points and 9 assists and guard Laurynas Kaveckis (190-90) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

37-year old center Ksistof Lavrinovic (209-C-79) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Lietkabelis and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 28. He had the game-high 36 points adding six rebounds for Lietkabelis in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Vytautas (#5, 15-13) 85-82.
